DFS Bury St Edmunds

Well , the sofas are good , always somewhere to sit down, staff are really nice, very helpful and knowledgeable. There was no downside to my visits unless you count the startled antelope herd rushing through the carpark and scraping my Landrover with their horns in a blind panic as they attempted to escape the lions from the mazda garage !

AVOID this company at all costs. It’s not worth the emotional and family stress. Important note. This store is the distributor for my order, not where I placed my order. The store reps are great. But they seem to not have any power when it comes to suppliers and customer service reps, which are terrible to say the least. They will keep postponing in 3-7 days increments to keep from having to address the issue. Ordered in March and received an email to arrange delivery for April 22nd ish. So I returned my loaner furniture(not from dfs). Not only did they not show up. But they never even called to explain. After calling them. They rescheduled and then cancelled again with out notice. After days of calling I finally found out that the supplier failed to make all of the furniture for the order. DFS failed to communicate that again. After each call I was told someone would reach out to me within 72hrs. Nobody ever did. So I’d call again and the same would happen. This happened for weeks on end. Keep in mind my family is sitting on the floor and dining room chairs this whole time. After failed communication, I drove the 50min to the furniture store I ordered from and was told the order would be delivered to the distribution center on the 18 of May. The day came and went with no communication as to where my order was at. Finally, I emailed to get and update only to find out that it will supposedly now be available on the 14th of June. At this point I don’t even want the furniture anymore. And have started to resent it. Even if I get it it will carry such an negative emotion that it won’t be welcome at my home anymore. DONT BUY FROM DFS. It’s not that it’s taking all this time. It’s the uncertainty. If I had a good estimated date then I would at least be able to get loaner furniture.

My 4th sofa from DFS over the years & each time im very happy with their service Becca stood out today as my Daughter doesn’t talk to people easily & both me & my daughter found this Lady very easy to talk to making the process friendly helpful an easy. First time visiting the Bury store, we picked a sofa for my daughter her first new sofa. Very happy customers Thank you Becca 💐

All 5 stars review are about the experiences in the showroom. Yes, I agree the salesman are very polite and nice but also say what they cannot do. But once you bought it, everything is changed. Poorest customer service I have ever seen. Please don't buy a sofa from DFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay away couple of years after buying a £3,000 sofa it looks awful I call them and they say it’s normal after that long ! 2 years and then when I try to pursue it they try and blame me for what is clear leather wearing away just from normal usage ! Stay away

Be really careful if you are considering buying at DFS. The quality of products are poor. We had an issue from the start with a structural repair. The pictures is if our foot stool that collapsed after 18 months. Not good quality.
