I went in to get some new tennis rackets and received excellent service, they had a fantastic range of rackets in store.

Excellent service and Alan is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of tennis rackets and strings. The range of stock is fantastic and the ability to hire/test out a racket or two prior to purchase is a great benefit. This small but well equipped store is one of the few remaining true sports shops left. I will be back for some restrings and more kit soon!

In need of a new tennis racket? Then you could do a lot worse than visit Henley Sports. After more than 10 years good service, my tennis racket gave up the ghost. Alan was very helpful, asking pertinent and relevant questions before making recommendations. Racket was ready for collection, fully strung within a couple of hours. Prices were very competitive when cost of stringing and the provision of advice were taken into account.

Knowledgeable staff, but much of the stock is highly overpriced, was kind of shocked after popping in for a couple bits to find I had paid over double what I could have online.

This is a shame to me as I do like to support local businesses, but my wallet will prevent me from returning.

I first went to the shop 2 weeks ago to ask about a tennis racket I was interested in. After some helpful advice I asked if he had any limited editions in stock as I particularly liked these colours. He did not. He said he would string the racket for free if bought a racket from him, or it was £30 if I just wanted one strung. Therefore, unable to buy in store, I bought the racket online and came back to the shop once it had arrived to take up the offered service of restringing for £30.

Unfortunately I was surprisingly met with a very hostile “greeting” by the owner stating I was “taking the piss” out of him for buying a racket online instead of in store, and expecting him to string it for me. I was fairly shocked by this as of course I did not mean to insult him or cause any offence to his business. I intended on using his offered services for strings and wraps, for this racket he had not had in stock, and for rackets potentially in the future as he was so helpful in the first place. He eventually refused to string the racket and said he does not need my business. Very disappointed in such poor customer service and attitude. I certainly wouldn’t recommend.

First visit and Simon was super helpful and my purchases for my son were very reasonably priced. Would recommend.
