Every payday jd is my place to go. Fresh sports wear and a new pair of treds is always necessary. Jd has something for everyone, style comes at a price sometimes so don't expect no £20 pair of trainers, there is some reasonably priced but it depends what your after..nizzas to 90's are at two different ends of the scale. Staff are always at hand to help and find your sizes for you, quick and efficient. Bigg up JD!

Sells trainers amongst other things, lots of trainers, lots of customers, three staff. Worth it if you have the patience of a saint, I'm not sure how the staff don't go mad, they were kind and considerate if possibly a little embarrassed.

Absolutely pathetic level of service. Came in on my lunch break to buy a pair of trainers. Staff standing around talking and refused to get the trainer from the stock room. Staff were so rude I just walked out. Talked yourself out of a sale. Avoid this shop staffed by clowns.

Branch Presentation: 4.5/5. Choice of shoes: 4/5. Service 5/5 from Bradley who had multiple people asking questions at once. He communicated well and still had a personal service with each pair of shoes despite multiple requests. His knowledge on the best shoe for my needs was also great. Vibe 4/5: great music. A step up on enthusiasm from the rest of the team would be great.

The manager Olivia is a completely job worth and speak to people so rudely and should never be a manger would never be shopping in that again

Bought two pairs of trainers and returned one to store but not refunded (so I scored it a 4) BUT when I returned to query this the Chelmsford Manager Reece could not have been more helpful . Going out of his way to help me , even when I didn’t have any proof and the lady at the end of central customer services was being unhelpful . I got my refund within the hour thanks to his persistence.. great staff

Whilst accompanying my partner and their mother on a shopping trip, we ventured into this store.

As we were browsing, we came close to the tills in search of a backpack where I became aware of who I can only assume is the manager loudly calling someone towards the tills. It turned out to be an employee who was berated on his first day for "talking to (his) mates", who actually looked like other customers and created a more welcoming feel to the store. Her tone resembled a threatening tone of holding his position at ransom if he didn't obey her demands.

Although staff are there for her to manage, as a customer, we should not be subjected to a manager humiliating a member of staff. This is an example of terrible management whereby the manager clearly needs training in staff management as her actions can only be defined as the behaviour of a bully.

Maybe a change of management could be ideal...

Higher management, please investigate!

I certainly wouldn't be visiting the store again and probably wouldn't recommend.
