I purchased some running shoes from a store after a gait analysis and found them uncomfortable once I ran any significance distance on my home treadmill. I swapped them once and found the second pair were still causing some problems albeit a bit less.

During lockdown I was unable to visit the store so contacted Runners Need by phone who were helpful but asked to e-mail. I tried to call the Monument store but couldn't get through so contacted RunnersNeed on the number on their website.

First e-mail response was "Thanks for your email and sorry to learn that the new trainers are proving uncomfortable" with no more information.

Then after chasing I was told that as I had run 700 metres the shoes were 'used' and not returnable, even though they caused significant pain which my off the shelf trainers do not cause.

If I wanted trainers without professional advice I would have bought them online, but I went to a shop who I trusted would provide the right advice, but instead I feel cheated of £120+ and now have to go to court to claim my money back :(

Great products. But Simply aweful. Not enough employees. The one we spoke to had no idea how to deal with the error in pricing those that actually had prices on them. An item that was marked down to £339 was actually £399. When challenged she said all she needed to do was remove the item remove the label and put it bad. However she made no effort to remove it ready to ensnare the next customer

Went for a Gait analysis which firstly I accidentally turned up a day early and they still let me do it which was really good. Then when it came to actual analysis it was just like normal but this time got compared to a 'normal' stride which was useful to see but was then reassured my gait isn't necessarily bad just not optimal. Then as it went on more David the attendant kept flooding me with information which he described as him waffling on but to me it was confirmation that I was in good hands with someone who knew what they were talking about which you don't really see much in running shops and was all really useful and interesting information as well. All in all great shop with a wide variety of brands where they are totally neutral about the brands as well as some shops heavily push for a certain brand as they are sponsored or something like that so just want to sell that brand. Great shop with great staff would highly recommend.

Booked an appointment for a gait analysis intending to buy a pair of running shoes. After the analysis, the lady recommended me one pair of running shoes which did not fit me in terms of sizing. I explained that the shoes does not fit me and she did not recommend any other shoes... I left the shop, went online and found that the shop quite a lot of shoes in stock and she didn't even bother recommending a different pair of shoe or let me try out another pair. Oh well I will have to go to their competitors then

Not impressed. I came in for a gait analysis and was ‘looked after’ by a young blonde man who claimed to give expert advice. He couldn’t have been less interested - he gave virtually no advice apart from telling me whether the shoes were the right size or not. While serving me, he would go and chat to my colleague and leave me waiting for 5 minutes at a time. Really unprofessional.
There was another member of staff conducting a gait analysis and fitting with another customer and he seemed to give far more advice and actually know what he was talking about.
I did end up buying shoes because they do have a good selection and I urgently needed some, but I don’t have confidence they’re the right ones.

Booked a gait analysis online. The staff were very helpful and friendly, taking the time for me to try various shoes and recording after each one. Really recommend this place.

Very nice shop assistants downstairs, work hard to find you a perfect pair and totally OK for you to take pictures and order online (I think the concept is more of a showroom, as not much colour choice in stock)
