Sports Direct

Came into Sports Direct this week with my young son, unfortunately at the same time there were a group of youths causing a bit of a scene and talking very rudely to staff.
Clearly these kids didn’t know how else to spend their Easter half term, so I would like to applaud the manager on site at the time for the way she handled the situation by escorting them out, whilst maintaining her professionalism while they acted very immaturely pretending they still wanted to “shop”.
Despite this I did manage to buy my child some school shoes by a very kind gentleman turning around my experience to be a very pleasant one in the end. Well done sports direct!

So today while I had the opportunity decided to take my son to get trainers and football boots as needed he plays for a team. The service was so lacklustre, I had queue up at till to request for someone to help me but as the lovely young lady tried to call the lad,but he went off to serve someone else. How rude. Normally I give good reviews, but I'm sorry this is needed to be address. Will not be going back there again.😤😭😤😬

So I went today to buy football boots for my daughter. It took me more than 15 mints to find someone to help me look for the size. I accidentally asked 2 customers to help me(I thought they work there). Also a customer asked me for help ( he thought I work there as I was wearing black). Anyways i have to be in the queue to ask someone to check if they have my daughter’s shoe size in stock. While they can see me they were talking to each other. A lady said she is going to ask for the boy to help me. But no one came. I was about to leave and a staff appeared and was asking the other customer if he needs any help. That customer felt bad for me and said sorry I don’t want to jump the queue. Finally someone was there to ask me what did I want. She went inside and checked them said no size . If you expect the staff to help you in this store may be you should go early. Not after 6 pm. (If you work and you only have time to go after 6 then this store is not for you). I don’t know how helpful the staffs are if you go early. But if this is how they react after 6 pm then the store should close at 6. I will never ever visit this shop again. If anybody reading this wants to visit this shop then try a time before 6 pm. Good luck.

Awful service from 3 separate staff, none of which seemed to know what they were doing. After finally findins a member of staff, we showed them some shoes on the wall that were priced £32, they brought them out in the sizes we asked for, and only told us that those shoes were £48 at the till after we had tried them on. When we pointed that out they just said there was nothing they could do and offered no explanation or alternative. We ended up leaving to buy shoes elsewhere.

The manager at the Sport direct is very bad. He’s not responsibility about his job. He didn’t accept a refund about a very bad quality of the clothes, I bought it from sports direct. On the first time wearing the costume it got gathered with fluff. I have the receipt I bought the costume before five days ago. I’m very disappointed about the manager.

When buying trainers for my son I asked if they had size in stock and was told they were serving someone else so just stood there for 15 minutes while the staff member stood around waiting for a customer to try on 3 pairs of trainers. Once they finished we asked if he could help and would you believe we waiting 15 minutes just to be told they were out of stock, this took seconds to check so could of be done while he was standing around. We went and selected another pair in under a minute to then be told we had to wait again for him to serve someone else. Loss of staff just standing around yet no help. Decided I’d rather pay more just to have an ounce of customer care elsewhere.

Over staffed on a Saturday under staffed on a Sunday so be mindful of which day you pick to go if you need any assistance. Usually in great order and tidiness but there's no real atmosphere here. Don't get the feeling it's much of a team.

This Sports Direct in Dunstable, seems to be a lot more sophisticated than most Sports Directs. They seem to have more designer products they other stores, they also have a Game shop for PlayStation and XBOX games.
