This sport direct is staffed by a bunch of clowns. I was looking to buy trainers for my son. We asked for a 6 and a half trainer. The unhelpful staff did not seem aware we needed help. He reluctantly went to look for the trainers. He was gone for some time. He said they did not a half in the trainer. So we picked another one and again he took his time to look for the size. Again they did not have 6 and a half trainers. So I suggested he bring the trainers that is 6 and a half. He was gone for some time. So we left him to it. Maybe he is still in the warehouse looking for 6 and a half trainer. They need to train these young staff on good customer service. They appear to be work shy. Sports direct need to pay good wages to attract experienced staff.

My wife went there to buy some shoes, she asked the guy to get her a new pair and not the exposition one and to leave at the till. She realize at the till after the payment that they gave her the exposition shoes worn out and dirty, the inner writing of the shoes had already faded. So she asked to cancel the purchase and have a refund.
The cashier said to come back after an hour and half for the refund, that's sounded doggy but we did wait and when we came back, we spoke with the menager and he said they don't do refund because of company policies and offered a credit note. They made us lose a lot of time, they lied to us and sold us used shoes refusing to refund.
Is this even legal? That's happened today 17 July 2022 at 14.30. Manager name(if they didn't lied again) is Immy 36862.
I'm guessing how can they still have customers with this behaviour.
We will never go buy in sports direct again.

Purchased a gift card in Sports Direct, Staines in July 22 for my dad's birthday. My dad tried to use the card in another SD store, close to home, at which he found it did not work, the account wasn't found. They advised me to contact customer services which I did, sent them a pic of the back of the card with the numbers and a screenshot of my bank statement proving I had purchased this. Even told them to check CCTV. They couldn't locate the card on their system, the account wasnt found, meaning that the numbers could be incorrect. I have lost faith in all Gift cards, and wanted to warn everyone as this could happen to them! It's still in dispute and have asked to speak with the manager! I doubt this will be resolved and I would have lost my money, because of a dodgy gift card.

I very rarely go to the High Street but I thought I would visit this new Sports Direct store to get a Football shirt for my son and to have a players name and number printed on it.

The staff that I spoke to were incredibly unhappy and clearly did not want to be there. I was advised they could not print the name and number there and then and that it would take 48 hours as it needs to dry! Was he planning on hand painting the name and number on the back?

I was then taken to speak to the person who does the name and number printing and he said he won't do it as he was closing the shop down (The shop was not closing for 2 hours and 18 mins)!

He was honestly one of the most unhelpful people in retail I have ever come across! I have his name if any of the Management at SD would like it.

I went to another store the next day (NOT A SPORTS DIRECT) and guess what? They printed it there and then! I even timed it! it took a grand total of 8 minutes!!!! 8 MINUTES!!!

They say the high street is dying, based on this experience I am not shocked.

Lovely store which has had a lot of money spent on it but its the people that make it and on this showing, I will not be rushing to a high street store anytime soon.

Hi everyone
I visited the store on Tuesday earlier this week,I wanted a pair of shoes in the junior section so I asked this blonde girl for them so I asked her if they got it in that size and she said no in a very rude manner,I asked her if there’s any other pair of shoes similar to the one I wanted for my son and she didn’t even bother she just walked away.
Sports direct need to teach these young employees good customer service because that was very poor.
I’ll never be shopping here again…

You should update the opening hours of this store to stop wasting peoples time.
Listing as closing at 8pm on google. Listed as closes 7pm on the door.
Extremely annoying.
Also, the google maps marker is about a 2 minute walk from the actual store location.
I would guess that the store has moved location and nobody has bothered to update the information on both counts.

Like most other reviews this place is the absolute worst sports direct around with horrific service from rude, uninformed and unintelligent staff. Also, products seem much cheaper online so I will just order online in the future. Finally, even through Google info says it closes at 8, apparently it closes at 7 and unfortunately the staff don’t know how to use the store announcement device so you get the ‘mate we close in a few minutes’ over the shoulder communication which is horrible.

Worst service was told If I spend £100 I would get £20 voucher for next time I shop. Because I had an exchange on it won't let me have it even though I asked and they said I need to spend £10 more to recieve it.

I then said to the manager take the exchange back off and do it separately as my jumper and top was over £100 then do the refund as a credit as I would use it.

Refused all solutions and staff tried to tell the manager imran but all he did was shut you down and say he takes responsibility rather than fixing solutions.
