Waitrose & Partners Mountsorrell

This is a small Waitrose but a lot of parking space.

The entrance/sign was kind of blocked by trees and you have to be careful and drive slow if you go there the first time.

The meat section is extremely small and not much to choose from. It does get a bit busy on a Sunday afternoon.

A dreadful store which reflects the downward trajectory of Waitrose over the past few years. We live in Ashby and were tempted back to travel the few miles to this store by the discount vouchers applied to a large shop. After our fourth trip in the past six weeks even that offer will not be taken up again.

The store itself is appallingly managed. We have not been able to successfully complete a weekly shop due to short dates and a lack of availability of essential items which have included basics like milk and bread. Staff are quite rude and seem more interested talking (in some cases bellowing) to each other than the customers. We use the scan as you shop option and on three of the occasions it would have been quicker to go to the checkout. One time we were left waiting for ten minutes and had to fetch a member of staff we were told it wasn't really their job that day but they'd help us out.

This brings me on to the cafe. What a joke. No choice, cold latte, incredibly poor service. They may as well shut it as you can only basically have pastries or toasties from those machines which make the bread soggy rather crispy. They have a menu but hardly any of it is available and they can't even be bothered to display what you can have.

As for Waitrose as a whole, what happened? Less stores, poor choice, over priced even when compared to direct rivals like M&S food. An example would an iceberg lettuce which is 80p in Waitrose but 50p in M&S, translate that across a shop and you are talking serious cash for the same items. We stopped using the delivery service as that also denegrated to the point of uselessness. They then had the cheek to start charging for that reduced service! In short we used to get most of our shopping from Waitrose but reluctantly after years of loyalty patience has run out. I suspect I'm not the only one.

Plenty of parking available as per size of the store. I have always found Waitrose to be an expensive store but they have eminence commodity which makes them eccentric.

Absolutely feel ripped off. Had an awful morning with traffic and needed food. Cafe.. well I wouldn't bother cost me £16 for a coffee a hot chocolate and 2 rolls. The bacon was tasteless and chewy. Disgusted

Very well organised and great customer service. They provide personalised vouchers which makes stuff pretty affordable. Plenty of parking.

Ladies on the cafe counter were so friendly!! (Friday 20th around 11.30am) despite the scanner not working; constantly apologising for the wait which wasn't needed a huge smiles. What a fab team 👏🏼

Clean and tidy shop. However, not the best from vegan perspective, also quite overpriced compared to LIDL. Lidl had tons of vegan options today 02-01-2023)

We loved in looking shopping.
We the staff are very good for are happy.
Waitrose have all stock food for us.
The price is right for Waitrose for us.
The Nero coffee is the machine is delicious in Waitrose.🤓
