M&S Simply Food

Nicely located store for the town centre, but not without its flaws.
It seems to take pride in constantly rearranging its layout, meaning most lunch times the store is full of people tutting and walking in circles as they try and find things that were easy to find before. Since the carrier bag charge was introduced, staff also appear to be trained to be as unhelpful as possible (If you ask for a bag) by placing all your items on top of the bag rather than in it, or at least next to it. This then requires you to waste your time moving every item off the bag so you can actually use it for packing. Sounds petty but when you use the store a lot, which I do, it starts to become very annoying. Earlier in the year I would have rated it much higher but its gone down hill rapidly.

often there is nobody working on the tills in the afternoon. Theoretically tills are opened but nobody is serving. Sometimes there is a queue of elderly people waiting to be served but nobody bothers to seat behind the till. Not everybody can use self scanning conviniently and I don't believe the shop can't afford to have one person always somewhere close to the tills to serve a customer who can't use self scanning.

It's OK, they've gotten rid of a lot of items that people enjoyed getting for lunch and don't seem to have replaced them with anything which is odd.

Store is generally OK and clean(ish), staff are very friendly on the whole and pretty helpful which is nice.

Good for picking up a few bits here and there but not that great value for money on some chilled and dry store items.

A general good store that is well stocked and the staff pleasant and helpful. The only thing that would improve this store is improve the self service tills It is so annoying to find that you can't buy loose veg because there are no scales.

Been in this store many times and like most M&S, it's clean normally well stocked and has all the main essentials. Things more settled these days and que's are less of an issue.

My friend asked at the store today for boxes for me as I am moving home and Chris was kind and gave her several boxes.

Never fails to disappoint when it comes to the quality and magnificent service provided.

Totally outstanding M&S branch and obviously because it’s based in splendid Reigate❤️

Over crowded stuffy , filthy store
No room to walk, staff in dirty clothes.
Would not be put of place in a war zone rather than a high street

Poor layout, cramped till area, horrible place to shop

Needs gutting , redesign and a deep clean from top to bottom including the unkempt dirty staff
