Very scenic landscape.
Dam looks monumentally.
Great for exploring and taking a memorable pictures!
Got ability to park on the edge of the lake on the leading road to Dam.
Also you can drive through to another side of Dam and park there.
Public WC is there, wich is great!
As on Easter 2022 some trees been taken down. The note explained that was some tree's illness. Pity.

The tower in the the waters of the lake... I saw people was walking by...
The parking in few minutes of walk from it.

"The straining tower at Vyrnwy is an imposing castle-like structure - a total of 48 metres high, standing in about 15 metres of water - which stands by the lake quite close to the dam. Lake Vyrnwy supplies Liverpool with water, and it travels there along a 70 mile aqueduct which starts at the Straining Tower, where any detritus is removed by a mesh filter."

Excellent place to spend a day. Walks, hikes, scenic views. Architectural heritage of industrial revolution times. Tip: have coins to pay for parking. 2 pounds 2 h or 4 all day.

The view is gorgeous if you're coming from Bala. The road is narrow and takes 30 min to reach the dam but it's worth. Through forests and hills. The dam is really historical. Beautiful.

Fantastic 19th Century Engineering. What a fantastic, beautiful place with a stunning scenic panorama. There's a lovely sculpture walk at the lower end of the dam. Great recreational activities on the lake and is a great place to sit for a picnic, taking in the view.

Such a lovely place to visit to see Dam and lake on the other side. You can enjoy a walk along side of the lake and dam. Beautiful views . Small little cafe serves hot food , cakes and drinks . In a car park There is a small little area where you can see bird feeding . Overall you can spent quality time with love ones in any season.

My first time here to visit. Had a beautiful bike ride around the lake. Gorgeous views and so peaceful. Definitely worth a visit even if just driving around.

Spectacular views of a very beautiful part of Wales. The dam is very well built and very ornate. A stunning road around the lake takes you to Bala. Travelling by motorcycle .
