As an international visitor, I was amazed to have find this store, conveniently near the London Gatwick Airport, just 12 minutes away by public bus, that you can take from either, North or South terminal. The store have plenty new toys , and classics. I was looking for Godzilla VS Kong, Jurassic Park, Nerf, among other stuff. Lot of stocks. What I liked more is their Friendly, kind and helpful staff. They also have the click and collect service, which I used while I was working, the pick up service is fast.
The store is well organized, things are easy to find. My kid would love this store for sure.

Ivan was so helpful when I visited the Crawley store. I had found some hot wheels cars online that I couldn’t find in store. Ivan went above and beyond to get the models down for me to buy. Excellent service. I’ll definitely buy more in this store.

Absolutely fantastic customer service and product knowledge ! Visited the Crawley store today and Leanne welcomed us as soon as we entered the store and nothing was too much trouble
Showed us every possible combination for the travel system we were interested in and answered every question we threw at her patiently and even helped us to place our purchase in the car. Would highly recommend visiting the store and very happy to recommend Leanne her customer service skills were exceptional!

Huge toy shop! With aircon! Free parking too!
Loads of toys not always competitive on price against Argos and such like.
Staff are fine, not friendly but not rude.
Well worth a look around.

Popped in here to buy an alternative to a chocolate Advent calendar for my son. I Highly recommend Smyths Toys and their click & collect. It was so refreshing to have been served by a pleasant, knowledgeable and amusing young lad called Dane. Thank you

Have to give 1 star but worth 0star!

Visited the store to buy play sand on Monday.
Upon asking a member of staff downstairs she rudely replied "its upstairs". It seemed like her stock work was more important than the request of a customer - which happened to be us!

When we went upstairs with 2 babys we had to ask another member of staff, as the sand was not displayed anywhere.
A member of staff we asked looked extremely unfit to work. She had bloodshot eyes and did not know how to answer the question of where we can find play sand. Perhaps she was ill or had a heavy night and should have not been in a store especially where children would be!

She then asked us to wait and called a manager from downstairs, who took his time to come upstairs via the escalators whilst talking to her about her shift?! As a customer we were clearly able to hear him say that she was not supposed to be on shift or something similar.

When, for the third time we asked him for play sand, he said that it is kept in the warehouse and that we should wait downstairs. We mentioned that we were told to come upstairs and he only answered, "yes the warehouse is upstairs". There was no apology when we mentioned that we were told to collect it from upstairs.

After asking 2 members of staff and a manager, going up and down, pretty disappointed at this point. We then were faced with extreme unfriendly staff at the till when we were making the payment. Where is the customer service???

We were waiting by the tills whilst we saw a young man carrying the bag of 15kg sand downstairs. He must have realised how heavy it was and went back to get a trolley to bring the remaining 2 bags of sand down.

Clearly seeing how heavy the bags were and that we had 2 babys with us, we were not offered any help or have been apologised to. At least an offer to bring the sand on the trolley to the car would have been the least to do!

This was the worst experience at this store!
Especially as it should be children friendly and help parents have a joyful experience. We recommend that staff needs training - including the manager!

We definitely will not recommend this store to any friends or family who have children. It may be worth going a few miles more away to a store with friendly staff and customer service!

Simple click and collect, rude, miserable woman with no manners on the click and collect counter. The one star is for the polite chap on the door
