Much better since TFL took over, more reliable services. The ticket hall looks more welcoming than the old ticket hall. Lots of building activity close to station. Crossrail trains have started running from West Drayton station, also one interesting development is the construction works for the glass and steel extension to the main station building. Update: Buses are not going into west Drayton station due to potholes which needs to be fixed by Thames Water. Crossrail and TFL are looking to perform repair works.

The staff are very friendly and polite. The renovations look great but my only frustration I have is that the lift is often out of service which is no problem for me, but for my elderly parents in law and my wife and toddler son who is often in a pram it can be a hindrance in them wanting to use the train from West Drayton to get into central London.

Do not try to board or leave the train while the doors are closing.

Nice new Elizabeth Line refurbished Station but I've had delays a lot here. First Elizabeth Line to Paddington I got was stuck between two stations for 45 minutes because there was a suspected trespasser on the tracks.

Oyster card starts here at West Drayton. Refurbishment of station is very clean and concise although there are a lot of steps to the platforms. The new Elizabeth line takes you into central London in approx 35 min.

This station has had a major upgrade for the Elizabeth line. There is lifts from the platforms to the ticket hall area. There are quite a few stairs to the platforms if you dont use the lift. There is two entrances and exits at this station. The station was clean and tidy and staff happy to help here. Toilets are available on the platform and there is a waiting area also.

Why have they introduced 45 steps to climb up to a level higher than the trains and the overhead wires... for you then to climb another 45 down - when previously, there are subterranean tunnels that allowed one to reach the platform climbing perhaps 35 steps and that was it?

It's flabbergasting how improvements don't actually mean improvements?

I'm writing a complaint to TfL - perhaps you should too?

If I wanted exercise I'd go to the gym. More steps also means more risk.

Does its job but not ideal unless travel with Elizabeth Line. No taxi rank, need to call and wait for taxi.
