I think a lot of the negative reviews on here are unnecessary, and if anything are more of a reflection on the underfunded NHS than the medical centre itself. The difficulty of booking an appointment is more of a reflection of the strain on the NHS than the medical centre themselves - there's only so many doctors and practitioners! My experience has always been that they have been running on time, or only delayed by a few minutes, which is outstanding compared to my doctors back home where you're lucky to be seen within the hour of the scheduled appointment. The doctors have always been friendly and helpful and the centre is always clean. I don't really know what else you expect from a medical centre

Many of the reviews here are unnecessary and it seems as though people do not understand the pressures that are on the NHS as a whole. If there’s an emergency go to A&E, it’s literally called accidents and emergencies for a reason.

Like many places, getting an appointment is difficult. It doesn’t matter what clinic or medical centre you go to, you will most likely never get the “perfect date & time”. If you want that kind of treatment, go to private care.

The staff here are very kind and it’s easy to see they put effort into their work. I’m very grateful my university has such a nice medical centre on site. Please respect those working in healthcare.

Worst medical centre ive ever encountered. Theres never appointments unless youre booking at least a month in advance. If you need an appointment you need to call at 8.00 am but because theres such a huge number of people calling youll be lucky to even get to the automated voice by 8.10 when all the appointments are already taken. Ive called 47 times!!! In the space of 10 minutes, only to then put on hold and have the called terminated in my face. STAY AWAY from this medical centre unless you like to be chasing appointments at 8 am in the morning as if they were a special prize EVERYDAY until i finally get a 15 minute appointment.. When the time chasing the appointment is longer than the appointment itself, you know youve got a problem.

Almost impossible to book an appointment. I also remember when I came in to get my physio booked in for my previously broken leg and the doctor had referred me for surgery and physio for my ankle

There's always an issue when trying to make an appointment. I've complained about this before but no one wants to do anything about it. I have to call up at 8am and can't even get through and when I do, there's either no appointments or only a phone call and they say they can't prebook anything. Waste of time and will cause you much stress.

One doctor made me feel like I was bothering them, but another younger doctor took my concerns seriously and tried to get to the bottom of it.

Was put on hold for 10 mins even the I was first in queue, after I finally got an answer I asked the person I was speaking to "How are you?" and she responded with "This is not a chatline", way to be rude to someone trying to be nice to you.
You also cant book any appointments unless you call at 8AM, horrible service.

I rang the medical center today regarding an issue and needed feedback. Sarah answered my call and was so patient and kind. She made sure to answer all my queries and I’m so thankful for it.
I understand that most reviews here highlight the lack of funding by the NHS, but the staff are amazing and deserve more recognition for their hard work. 💗
