While there are lots of great staff here, it seems the whole hospital relies on them and there's also a lot of poor staff who completely get away with really bad practice. No processes or training to make sure it's safe and caring.

Never had a good experience here, always really bad mixed in with the great staff. Dealt really badly with my elderly father, made no allowances for his health problems and constantly told him off because he's physically unable to do things, and complained about him in a really nasty way to me, really upset both of us. Poor care that's left him with life long issues. Written him off without even explaining what it means for him and refuse to see him again.

Same for my mum, caused her an infection when they refused to let her have basic hygiene when she asked, lasted for months and she was really ill.

Really lazy about getting both my parents out of hospital, in a bed for no reason for weeks.

Noone EVER picks up the phone, they pretty much refuse to talk to family. I call dozens of times before getting through, can go days without getting to speak to a clinician about family, bearing in mind the patients can't hear or understand about their own care, it's just really concerning.

Had an operation here last week. All the staff are amazing, I was really nervous and the surgical team were so good with me. The staff on ward 28 are all lovely and really looked after me so well. Big thank you to them all, couldn’t fault them!

Today marks the third time this hospital has saved my mum's life.

Everyone here has displayed only the utmost kindness, professionalism and patience and the place is so damn clean that touching even a door handle feels like a crime 😁.

Huge thanks and respect to Alex and Kate in Critical Care.

I attended the Endoscopy unit on Sunday 9th October. From the moment i arrived I was treated with respect and kindness. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained to me. The staff put me at ease and spent time making sure i was comfortable. I cannot thank the staff enough, I only wish I could remember everyone’s name to say thank you individually, but please know you are all appreciated xx

Had sustained an extreme fracture to my ankle. After having been discharged the day before I was asked to return to the hospital with no instructions as to where to go and no aid in terms of mobility. Upon finally being seen I had my cast opened and injury inspected, the staff proceeded to try and send me home despite me not having a reliable way of returning the following morning for my repair surgery. After 5 hours of conflicting statements from multiple staff members I was placed in a side room for 2 additional hours with no information as to what was happening, I was then removed from the room with no aid in mobility and made to sleep in the A&E waiting area with my cast having been opened and my ankle exposed thus causing further damage to my injury.

Overall the staff were rude, undisciplined, lacked any communication between one another and completely ignored my statements regarding the pain they had caused to my ankle when forcing me into the waiting room. This hospital needs a complete restructuring with better and more qualified staff in place to help avoid having others in my position sustain further damage to their injuries as was the case with me.

The staff are hard workers , even with about same number of patients in A&E in there and in the Royal hospital the queue works better in Aintree , they use all the rooms they had. The fist triage consultation is really quick. After all I think all UK need more hospitals infrastructure cause disent matter how hard working and efficient the staff could be a waiting time of 15 hours is just unacceptable.
