I’d honestly put zero if I could.

Found a very sickly cat who had clearly been in a road traffic accident or fight.
Called Flookersbrooks and asked for help, the receptionist said to come in.

Upon getting in, the vet’s first question was ‘who is paying for treatment’.
I was under the impression vets had a duty of care to animals and to report to RSPCA for additional emergency funds if needed.
Despite that we offered to pay. She said ‘it doesn’t work like that, it’s £40 alone for a consultation’

We were then asked to wait in the waiting room leaving the poor cat alone whilst the Vet tended to other paying patients.
Shortly after the door burst open and the vet physically threw the cat out in the carrier, bashing it against the door frame.
I won’t go into the words exchanged - suffice to say I have never ever experienced such ruthless, soulless treatment as the Vet then refused to speak to us, avoided us and refused to treat the animal.

Luckily the receptionist was still on phone to RSPCA (45 minutes later) who eventually got a log number and necessary details for the cat to get treatment at Vets4Pets down the road.
Poor receptionist had been on the job for two days. I advised her to work elsewhere if she was an animal lover.

Vet came out to see me after the log number was retrieved and then would chat to me. I promptly ignored and left.

Don’t take your animals here. Unpleasant, not clean at all and clearly not interested unless you’ve got a credit card to boot.

Vets4Pets were amazing and 30 seconds down the road. Make the right choice.

Excellent, Mr Davies and his staff are a professional caring veterinary practice. We have been using this veterinary practice for our family's pets for years.

Many Thanks

Horrendous experience as a new client. Visited on numerous occasions with a very sick and very loved, family cat. All vets, including Davies, were rude and abrupt on every visit. On one occasion a female vet shook my cats carrier with my very stressed cat inside. I had to ask the vet not to do this, and left in tears. The whole experience caused a great deal of distress to both me and my pet - honestly a bit of a traumatic experience. I would not use this practice again.

Absolutely rude and disrespectful vet with the worst attitude I have ever come across. Probably the reason she works with animals because doesn't know how to speak to people

Been using this practice for over 20 years. Have always found them helpful and honest. Mr Davies had been excellent with our 3 cats over the years. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've been taking my pets to Mr Davies for 25 years. During this time, we have had five cats and two ex-battery hens. Having known him for a long time, I feel confident he will take excellent care of all my animals.
Mr Davies is someone I recommend if you are looking for a vet to care for your pet and support you in keeping it healthy and happy.
