Easy to order, not too busy. The Duo of Roast was light on the meats - one slice of each, barely enough for a sandwich, but tasty enough - and heavy of the veg.

Service was okay, staff were very pleasant. Nachos were good, although the chilli was lukewarm. Burgers were impressive looking but lacked taste.

At least there was no washing up!

Lovely pub. Liked everything apart from not being able to try the prosecco before I bought a bottle. Never heard or experienced that before! Maybe I would have bought a more expensive one..if I could have had a taster?

This sizable offers a CAMRA discount on its ales and has an extensive garden at the back as well as some seating at the front and plenty more inside. A warm and friendly welcome.

We visited for lunch 9 people , 3 different parties.
We were late for our booking due to traffic but the staff that greeted us were kind and inviting and it was very laid back and welcoming.
We had a lovely meal all the meals came out of kitchen at the same time and we're of a good quality no complaints!
We were overall very happy with the whole experience and we liked it so much we re visited this morning for brunch! Again this was excellent
I would like to commend the black horse staff the menue and everything else we would definitely recommend 👌

Went here for a meal with a group of friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially with one of our group who has an allergy.

The food and drinks were great and not too pricey and it had a lovely atmosphere.

Would definitely go again.

An ok pub. The food is not bad and reasonably priced. Staff are nice but service could be better: it all seemed a bit disorganised. We booked a table for 2:00 pm and they had already run out of some of the food we wanted to order.

We had breaded mushrooms, calamari and chipolte chicken as starters, the latter actually very tasty.
Our mains of posh fish (two fillets of sea bass!), hunters chicken and sirloin steak were reasonably good.

The terrace area is quite large and very pleasantly done and it must be very appealing with the good weather.

Overall an ok pub/rest with food as expected and reasonably priced.

Live music, big screen football and also a dining area. Service was the slowest I have ever had. I was with a large group Christmas party booking all of whom had pre-ordered specific dishes. Main course over an hour after starters. Presumably a lack of available staff is the issue. That said, when the food did arrive it was tasty and well presented. Drinks were good value too and the live music was delightful (an acoustic duo doing big hit pop songs very well). Hopefully service will improve as all staff friendly and efficient but I think the kitchen was struggling on that Friday night with c. 30 diners all at same time.

Huge Ember Inns pub where we enjoyed a pint and a mixed grill one warm early afternoon. We were the only ones in at that time, but I can imagine it getting busy with drinkers and foodies alike. Would definitely return if we're ever in that area of London again, and maybe stay for more than one next time.
