Hi I thought I'd email you rather than chat to your staff, my partner and I had a one of your roast dinners today (3rd July @ 12:00) and quite possibly the worst food iv eaten in a very long time carrots had been sat around they were dry and limp, broccoli and cauliflower was just the stems the roast potatoes maybe 2 were nice the rest were aunt Bessie's, soft and powdery, Yorkshire pudding was flat and soggy and the meat not great either I probably ate 20% of that food and if it wasn't for me driving from Wales back to Dorset for 4 hours I would of returned the entire meal such a shame as iv always had great food there your meal cost me £40.50 really quite shocking

We took some friends for Sunday roast today, we thought the roast was poor! The medium portion only 1.5 slices of meat, two small roast potatoes and some of the veggies seemed to be microwaved and scrap ends!! My partner had the large roast and it came with only three small roast potatoes and not much more meat! And no offer of how we would like our beef cooked.
We've been before for different main meals and these have been absolutely excellent.
I have to add that that some of the service was quick (particularly bringing out our roasts, making us think it was microwaved) and they seemed to forget we wanted the dessert menu and no offer of coffee more drinks! Will go again but not for a roast, there's better value at other pubs!!

Great old thatched dog friendly inn full of character and history dating back to Henry the 8th. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere, I can recommend the steak and ale pie, very tasty. My partner enjoyed the liver and bacon. Not sure if any rooms are dog friendly. Hope to be back!

The best traditional pub for many miles. However, Sunday lunch very disappointing. Had a large roast but was treated to 3 wafer thin meat slices and a range of insubstantial vegetables. Portions would Iimprove as a carvary.

Lovely country pub serving a good range of home cooked food. Staffed with well trained, friendly people. Offering a good range of beer and wine. Overall, it is a place worth making the effort to visit.

Didn't stay here, but the food is lovely, and the staff friendly. Good selection of beers in a lovely Country pub.
