A darling inn nestled in the beautiful hills. There was a recent change of ownership and the new owners are very nice and working hard to make this place extra lovely. The food was delicious (many vegetarian options too!) and the rooms are very nice and clean. Area for kids to play outside and an outdoor beer garden area too. Cannot recommend more.

Also a short walk from the train station which is nice for those without cars

We stayed here for a night and ate in the restaurant. The food was gorgeous and the staff were lovely. The room was very clean and the bed was really comfy. Everybody was extremely helpful. Nice location to visit areas in the lake district. We would definitely stay there again. A****

Really enjoyed. Generous portions. Good country pub with no pretensions. I enjoyed one of my favourites, fish pie. Lots of seafood with a tasty cheese mash topping. Very friendly.

Fantastic pub, lovely food, excellent service. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Great place to unwind after we'd been out touring the lakes each day on our motorbikes. Highly recommended. Thanks again from Mark & Scott.

Stayed at the station inn Kendal on the 28/08/2022 and the hole experience was absolutely spot on, great staff, great selection of food on the menu and rooms where superb, would highly recommend this place to stay or have a meal or just go and have a drink, the outside area is great for the kid's, there is also a lovely dog called Pepe that will give you such a warm welcome. The next time we're in the area we will most certainly be staying there again.

Would only give 1 star for the comfy bed. The rest of the hotel deserves 0 stars. The room was clean but dowdy and badly needed updating. There was no chef, no shower products and no other residents which should have told us something was wrong. We had booked for 3 nights but left the next morning. I would not recommend this hotel until drastic changes are made.

Popped in for a bit of lunch before a dog walk, was absolutely lovely homemade food! We had the lasagne and chips! Garlic bread also homemade, to die for! Hit the spot perfectly! Staff were lovely and friendly and were happy for our pooch to join us inside.

Great little pub with rooms. Really welcoming. The staff are great and really kind. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. Only suggestion is to not put families with small children who like to run around the room at all hours of the day and night.
Breakfast was lovely. We'll be back
