I had a lovely 2 night stay at the George Inn whilst visiting nearby Wells. All staff were very friendly, and keen to hear about my plans and offer helpful advice. I had one evening meal at the pub (beef curry) which was wonderful, and washed down with some delicious local ales - kept very nicely. The breakfasts were standout, home cooked and with amazing ingredients. I hope to return!

We recently stayed in Croscombe and on a couple of occasions took the opportunity to visit The George Inn.
What a good decision!
Excellent food (probably the best Steak & Ale pie I've ever had), friendly hosts and some very fine local cider.
Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

Popped in on the off chance for a Sunday lunch as we were in the area. Oh my word. What an amazing gem we found.
Staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. The food, oh wow! It was beautiful, home made, tasty and well presented. I'm a veggie and they accommodated me without any issues. Can't recommend a visit here enough. Can tell it's a community hub and a treasure to keep!

Village pub, friendly and welcoming. B&B available. Open fire, good choice of beer and food. Parking can be difficult. Dog friendly.

I have always dreamed of living in a nice friendly village with a pub. I am so lucky that the George is so much more, a hub of the community, great food, its own branded beer from a local micro brewery, wonderful and welcoming owners and staff. It is the centre of the village life and for visitors to this lovely part of Somerset.

Such a lovely place to stay. Felt so welcome by the hosts Peter and Veryan. The room was warm clean and comfortable couldn't ask for more. The breakfast menu is great and the home cooked food is lovely great value for money too. What a gem this place is. Will definitely visit again

Our room was lovely, warm and quiet. Food was great, esp breakfast: the eggs Benedict were perfect. But best of all were the host's Peter and Veryan, who were so friendly and accommodating.

Great hosts, beer and food excellent, lovely room and a real belonging atmosphere about the place Parking could be tricky but there are places in the village to park Only stayed one night but a first for us we did lunch dinner then breakfast, not done that before and I’m 65! Must tell you something?
