Tried to contact Havant branch to see if I left my driving licence which I had used as ID. Their central call centre can only ‘send a message’ and had no way of contacting the branch by phone. I am supposed to wait for the branch to read the message and call me and there’s no knowing when that will be!! So I have to drive in to ask in person. Appalling customer service!!! So impersonal and couldn’t care less.

I went in at 1.15pm, only to be met with queues. I waited in the queue for the cashier for ten minutes with seven bags of coinage to pay into my account. The cashier pointed to the other side of the bank with her pen and said "you've got to put it in the machine" I explained that I had already waited for ten minutes and there were no signs displayed to say the cashier does not take coinage. Still not interested she stabbed her pen towards the other side of the bank. As I and others only have short lunch breaks, you would think Natwest would have more than one cashier working. I use this bank regularly and the service is never the best, but this cashier excelled herself today.

I wanted to with draw some money from my savings account, i wear glasses and i was all steamed up. I was asked if i had a card and use the machine to move the money from 1 account to another to withdraw it. There were no cashiers working, the blinds over the cashiers were drawn down. After i took the money out i asked the customer service assistant if she had an envelope to put the money in, after searching she then handed me an a4 sized envelope, i showed the size of my handbag and said how do you suppose i put that in my bag. To which she tried to fold it in half. The service in this bank during lockdown has got worse and worse. If i could change my bank i would.

All I wanted to do this morning is find out opening times of the banks in Havent and Waterlooville!!! Seems simple but I was put through to an automated service and was asked to give a customer number! Is that absolutely necessary? I didn't expect to have to give my customer number and I certainly don't know it off by heart. No help at all!! I know this is a difficult time but luck down rules have been relaxed and all this for a simple question I am left not knowing what to do I don't want to take a trip into town if the bank is closed.

The most helpful and kindest people I have dealt with in a long time, Not just in Banking. Abz gave me his direct contact for future help and he and his team have been amazing through a difficult process.

I went there today to close my business account. I was seen as quickly as current Covid rules would allow. The member of staff dealt with me efficiently and showed me where to go on line to close the account.
This I did and all was going well until technology overtook my brain capacity ☹️
Anyway back to the bank and with the use of my phone she processed everything for me for which I am eternally grateful.😇
Thank you Nat West Bank.

I bank with NatWest. My account is with the Emsworth Branch. This closed years ago. I have yet to be informed of this by the bank. My cheque book still says Emsworth, my Paying in Book still says Emsworth.. One could say it has been a PR disaster, but I suspect that NatWest is not concerned. In retrospect, all very sad.
