Went in 3 weeks ago with my wife and her documents with former surname and new surname to transfer funds from halifax account to another one. Said they'd request name to be changed and will text my wife in 3 working days. After that money can be transferred and account closed. Went in today to follow up because we received nothing in these 3 weeks - no text, phone call, email, letter. Attendant serving us named June Case was outright rude, dismissive and displayed an appalling level of customer service. She refused to acknowledge the fact that halifax had already verified my wife's identity on the basis of her old documents and we were only asking for her to follow up. She refused to look at scanned copies on our phones and/or make an attempt to find out what went wrong in these 3 weeks. Avoid this branch and halifax overall if possible. I'll never be banking with them. There are far better banks out there to treat you like a human and a good customer. I'll be putting in an official complaint to halifax on this anyway.

I am writing on behalf of my parent, who experienced an appalling service !! They were rudely spoken to, and taken advantages of their poor english. They went to transfer money, as they do not have an online banking account, and staff acted very suspicious as if they were looting the bank!!
The staff as well as the manager very rude and unprofessional, deserve a sack with the way they approached my parents !! Definitely need extensive training in customer service, I have better experience in the McDonalds across the street!
It doesn't cost much to have manner and respect.

I was here the other day opening a new account and I was served by a lovely young educated Indian girl. She was very friendly and helpful. HOWEVER there was an older English women on the other counter who was being ABSOLUTELY rude to other customers. She was talking very rough like she doesn't like customers. Looked like a RACIST. Thank god I wasn't served by her. The 1 star is only for that helpful lovely girl who served me. Otherwise it would be NO stars.

Not sure what all the hate is about for this branch. I think covid might have a large role as the ques and waiting times are longer, which is the same across most industries. Personally, I had a great experience. There was a que and as I only had one question was a bit worried about a long wait time for a simple answer, but the staff member was diligent and worked her way through the que answering my question and providing a swift resolution. Also just in general, I've been with Halifax since i was a teenager and in comparison to other high street banking apps there's has been one of the easiest and up to date one I have used.

I have also sufferred from the unprofessipnal attitude of mortgage advisor how did to not even want to see me, when I had the option of an in branch meeting at Hayes Halifax branch. The assistant who dealt with my query, barely spoke decent english making it difficult to have a conversation with her, plus the fact she could not effectively operate a keyboard to send an email. (apparantly she could not get the keyboard cap lock off). After all said and not it was agreed for the mortgage advisor to phone me regarding my application and she never did. Eventually done it online and via the phone using a different Halifax mortgage service. I think they should the Hayes Halifax ranch mortgage service and replace it with the online one

I would like to mention a service which was provided by Hayes Bank manager Memuna miyanji. By mistake my account was showing account payment restricted. I was not able to pay.

Due to this environment that payment was very important for me. The manager stayed more than her finished time to help me out. She was dealing with all customers so professionally in this difficult times. She is truly a hero. Many Thanks

me and my daughter were in cue outside; once cue clear inside just my daughter went in; the lady her name RAJNI( FEMALE) (not sure name) said please wait outside and shouted you are not following guideline. well herself she was not wearing a mask first of all and came to closer threaten my daughter. she just serving her ego not customer service, especially in COVID 19.

I am not one to write negative reviews however this one is much needed. After banking with halifax for over 29 years, I can honestly say I am appalled by the patronising demeanour and unhelpful service of the Hayes branch mortgage advisor.
