Had mixed up days and made a long travel with 2 kids on the bus where one had already been sick. The staff was very understanding and was able to accomodate my appointment immediately. Incredible. Thanks to the gentleman with beard for understanding and being very helpful. Highly recommend this branch

I was very happy with the service I have received. I have been offered an option I was not actually considering and only waiting for a bank's response regarding my issue. Thank you.

It is the first time I'm downgrading from 5 stars to 1 star because unfortunately for me ,the initial visit in that branch did not hint what happens after.
My enquiry was totally ignored as well as myself despite the fact of 11 years loyalty to the bank. It is my first account in U.K. and I know I am not the V.I.P. customer but the lack of respect I received is unacceptable.
On last Tuesday (7.6.22) I went to Streatham branch to ask about loan options. Lady who deals the walk-in customers took my card and after having a quick check informed me I will receive a phone call next day from bank adviser. It never happened.
So I returned on Thursday with the same enquiry and the same lady told me the same thing: I will receive a call the next day. Never happened.
Finally I went to the branch (3rd time) on Friday to learn from a different lady that I will be contacted via phone next day. She took my details down on the scrap of paper with a pen barely marking it so the whole note wasn't really clear. As you presume, no phone call received...
I understand I might not be eligible for a loan I was after but at least I should be notified about it. The whole story made me feel like a low-level type of a customer. And I've been contributing my money for years! I think I deserve bit more than that...

Only ever 1 or 2 staff on the floor who don't really care there is a massive queue and often pawn customers off between themselves because 1 staff doesn't want to help.

Extremely long queues. I visit this branch because its local but its the same every single time. You need to hire more staff.

Customer service is slow. Staff treat people like annoying flies. It is very difficult to ask about something. Bank opening hours are not convenient. In the end, everything should be done for us, for investors. When I left the bank, I felt that I owed them something. It is not right. It should not be.

This branch has to be the worst. I stood in the long queues from outside the doors for over an hour. There were elderly customers who were in front of me that got half way up towards the counter only to be told they had to join another line to speak to someone sitting on the side with the 2 desk. There are over 50 customers standing inside the banking halls now with 2 staff members coming out now and again, 2 staff sitting at the desk, 3 offices, 2 of them occupied by 1 staff member each and a customer. Barclays need to do better now as what ever changes have been made is clearly not working out also the staff that were usually polite seems to be angry and abrupt now.

Bring a tent and enough supplies to last at least 40 days and 40 nights if you plan on being seen by a member of staff.

Don't bother coming to this branch, if you read recent reviews you'll see that the waiting times are terrible.
I had to wait 1 hour outside in the cold and now another hour outside the office but now, we are being told that the system is down.
This is not the staff fault but someone, at some point, has to take responsibility for this mess.

Waited in line patiently for 20 minutes, only to be told I can't deposit cash into an account without ID? Got home, phoned Barclays who confirmed this isn't the case and that the women serving me had lied... Waste of time
