It's the worst Office of barclays.
They never have a solution to the customers.
Just to open an account, you have to book and wait the appointment 2 months, you go to the appointment and they tell you that the person that you have appointment with, isn't there. However you have the confirmation of this appointment in your phone, that previously they sent with a message. People don't have all day to wait for the bank to put order. I suggest to the bank should be more serious and take more care of the costumers.

I don’t understand what are the staffs doing in the bank? Can’t help you to make appointments, can’t direct customers to the right place, and the customer service are really rude in there, don’t go in to this one, will only give you bad momeries about Barclay

Needed to pay cash into my wife's account without her card. Very helpful lady called Mandy helped me tackle the nightmare machines to make the deposit but was told in a few months I would not be able to do this as it would be card or nothing.
Mandy was very friendly and pleasant can't comment about others but staff are going to get demotivated if customers cant complete transactions in a branch without using a card or machine. This is basically a massive misjudgement by Barclays assuming everyone is happy to deal with a screen or banks online.
How much more does Barclays want to make with its last pre tax profit at 3.2 billion pounds we are all subsidising the fat cats again and getting less for it and worse customer experience and service. I felt sorry for Mandy it must be a very difficult job.
PS The 2 stars are for Mandy exclusively Barclays deserve nothing !

Only giving 1 star because I can't give anything less. I have been consistently disappointed every time I have visited. I visited the bank 5 mins before closing time and I was refused entry from the staff. I asked to speak to a manager regarding this abhorrent treatment. (I think her name was Sade) When I eventually did it was past the closing time and the manager has such a nonchalant attitude towards my treatment and supported the staff. There are much better neighbouring banks, the poor reviews speak for themselves dont bother opening an account with Barclays.

I've been with this bank since 2014.
No idea what all the bad reviews are about.
The staff are very helpful. Everytime I go they are helping someone.
They've been particularly great since they brought in those machines. So much time is saved.

The blonde lady at the entrance is increasingly rude. Talking over me without even listening what I was trying to say. After walking for 30mins to reach the branch and waiting outside for just as much, I couldn’t even get done what I had to. Not because it was not possible but because she just couldn’t listen what I wanted to say!

Someone put that the staff are none understanding, I have been with Barclays for over Fifty years, And moved to other Barclays Branches, Due to New Addresses, I found nearly all the staff (95%) Fantastic, Politely, and Helpful in every way, From advice to Loans, Also getting to understand the new machines. Barclays, I give you 99%, .

I saw the bank had low reviews but didn’t think anything of it...and then I went there. I’ve banked with Barclays for over 14 years and wanted to make a change to one of my accounts. At the door was a bouncer who refused to let me in, and said that the only option would be to wait outside and take my details and someone might be able to arrange an appointment. At no point was I allowed to speak to anyone who actually deals with banking or even enter the building. Avoid at all costs.
