Barclays Bank

Now it's become a bank of cash machines, and auto-tellers - there is no earthly reason why the upstairs (with actual humans) could not be gated, and open 9-5 and the downstairs open 7 till 11 or even 24 hours, with 'Bank Card' swipe access. If online banking is 24 hours and i want to dposit cheques at 3am then that should be possible.

I never write reviews but when I came to barclays last week and met with Danielle whom went above and beyond my customer service expectations, I felt I had to share. Danielle's professional yet you can have a really good chat with her. Unlike most banks you can tell she's genuinely there to help customers to the best of her ability. Needless to say, I am a very happy customer and will stay with this bank for a very long time.

Mark who works at the bank was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I came into the branch because i had an issue with my help to buy ISA and fixed the issue within a matter of minutes. Thank you Mark :)!

Phoned beforehand to ask how accessible visiting a branch would be, spoke to Martyn who was wonderful and thoroughly explained how this branch works (as by pure coincidence its his branch) 😊
Popped in and told them what I was visiting for and it was Martyn again! He even remembered me which was lovely 🥰
Between himself and his colleague Hazel, we managed to find what was best suited for me while being both friendly and efficient 😇

International student here! DO NOT BOTHER. Wasted so much time trying to open an account at Barclay’s. You have to wait weeks to get an appointment and then when you finally get one, it’s still a giant hassle and they give you the runaround. Walked out of the branch and right across the street to Lloyd’s without an appointment and got my account opened same day.

I came in this morning to pay some money into my works account and was aware of a woman sat near me but not in the queue who seemed to take an instant dislike to either myself or who I was working for and was muttering abuse about me to a member of staff called Sharon I found this absolutely bizarre that Barclays would allow someone like this in their bank who obviously has some sort of issues going on being allowed to verbally abuse customers. The lady who I presume was this Sharon was lovely and polite so not sure what was going on. I’ve tried to ring the bank but can’t get through

As a business customer don't bother. Shut all branches in the locality and the business counter only open until 2pm. If you need to speak to someone call 0330...... and wait for over an hour to get no help at all.

Banked with Barclays for over 20 years but recently service has been very poor. Final straw was when I went into my Preston branch to open a child's savings account with my child. Was told you can't open accounts in branch only on video chat via the app. The Bank was empty and she wouldn't even offer to book an appointment. It was video chat or no account! What's the point of a branch if you can't even open an account! Went to Halifax and arranged an appointment in branch with them, so much simpler and far more polite.
