Halifax

Uninterested and Unhelpful.Twice turned away because I couldn't produce the I.D.they insisted on, even though the new a/c was not up and running. And NEVER get involved in their Switch system - your finances will be in chaos within 2 days - .And they will insist there is nothing they can do to help. Wonderful customer service?!

Rude unhelpful and lazy staff . Simple. Literally walked out of the branch today, into a new bank and set up a new account, with somebody who actually could behave professionally.

After bad experiences with other banks my wife moved her account to the Halifax (18 years ago) and the only thing she has noticed in the last couple of years is the reduced amount of staff working. I am still with another bank and they have the same issues, cutting back on staff is not just banks, look at all the shops with ‘self service tills’.

The Bank -
Interest rates on savings are minimal and loans abdominal- especially when other high street lenders can offer such low rates. It's a shame the big bosses at Halifax dont reward they're long term customers with more competitive rates. However perks like cashback on purchases can accrue some nice little pocket monies - as long as you remember to click and activate them....

The Team -
Always made to feel welcome and recognised - often addressed by my name when I enter by more than one member of staff. A very personal experience. Customer service is clearly of high standard.

I called into the bank today and saw a very pleasant and helpful gentleman. He was most helpful and polite. Dont think I've seen him before.

Very slow it's almost like they don't want human contact.

Terrible customer service, I hang on for ages, trying to touch buttons, I finally get through and the lady doesnt understand my very basic query, responding to a letter I have been sent by them. She cuts me off. I then type "message us" and the person I am messaging doesnt understand either. Ridiculous

Popped into the Halifax Ipswich branch with a query regarding my account. Staff were very helpful and friendly and resolved my issue in just a few minutes.

Very happy with the service received!
