I have been with HSBC over 20 years!, I walked into branch to talk about a small mortgage where I was shrugged off and bluntly replied to, he just looked through me and said nothing as if I was wasting his time after that untill I walked off.

Extremely rude and unprofessional, I doubt I shall be with HSBC much longer

One star is because I can't go lower !

I have been there twice, once to open an account and another to send money overseas, both times the issues were handled with care. I am very happy with both Johns at the establishment for making me feel welcomed and valued. Cheers

Absolutely useless, no understanding of elderly people needing help.'Get your 84 year old mum with memory issues to do a conference call' even though my mother phoned ahead and arranged permission for me to speak to them re a standing order for her carer, they could not care less.They failed to correctly set up a standing order a while ago, that phone call got nowhere, this phone call was just as useless, all I wanted was to check a standing order had been set up, didn't want to know funds or move money. One star as it's not possible to post without that.

My husband and I needed to take a loan to refurbish our home. We applied to HSBC Taunton and they took us to a meeting where they treated me like I would possibly take the money to Turkey, where I was born. The way we were treated was disgraceful. We then applied to Tesco and Sainsburys and were given the loan right after our application without being discriminated. Well.. it was their loss as the loans are all paid now and we changed our bank.
