Pharmacy works with a single queue whether you are collecting medications, handing in a prescription or needing over-the-counter items that an assistant could help with. One pharmacist working very hard and clearly stretched to clear the queue stretching down the aisle and no other support workers to assist. Waiting a long time standing in a queue that hardly moves is not possible for everyone to manage, and if you sit on a chair, you lose your queue place.

Very helpful general shop pay-counter staff ended up advising me where to find a different chemist as I couldn't cope with queueing any longer! I'll avoid Boots pharmacy in future.
One star awarded for the helpful check-out staff at the entrance who suggested a different chemist with pharmacy where I probably wouldn't have to stand in a queue for over an hour.

I feel sorry for the staff in Boots, Imperial Retail Park store. It’s extremely warm in there all the time, so much so that I avoid shopping there, despite it being my local store. Waiting at the pharmacy in an enormous queue, I watched numerous people fanning themselves and taking off clothing to cool down. It’s a horrible shopping experience. Can’t imagine what it’s like to work in there.

Great pharmacy, Queueing up to collect prescriptions is a 15-20+ on weekends & some evenings .
Retail Check out queues not so bad. Has trouble answering the incoming contact phone calls . Staff are professional and helpful & friendly @ this branch of Boots pharmacies. Great opening hours & Close time .

After going through the comments section I can confirm that working in that specific department has been a nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend it for a variety of reasons.
-There aren’t enough assistants to help with the qs of people waiting to be served. That means, the daily tasks cannot be expected to be fulfilled correctly (re ordering medications for prescriptions, putting stock away etc)
- As a pharmacist myself I have been pushed to complete tasks like dispensing prescriptions and checking by myself including cd scripts. That can increase the probability of errors and
can put my license in trouble too.
-management does inappropriate decisions, like booking two members of the team off at the same day.
I have worked for many different boots stores and I would easily go back and work for them, unfortunately this specific store is one I would never recommend for the above reasons and many more I wouldn’t like to state in this comment. I call for an official apology from the store manager as the only thing she mentioned after seeing us under pressure is an irony that the shop is quite today. I made it clear that I am not happy to continue the shift as there is a patient safety issue in this department and what I got in return is that I am rude and I get payed more than her. The pharmacy doesn’t operate with regular pharmacists and I completely understand why.

Staff are lovely but very busy so queue’s are long , also don’t offer promotion if it’s not available in store , l’Oreal promotion was out of stock so may be an idea to take down signs rather than waiting for people to get to the till

Pharmacist isn't actually available most of the time due to dispensing for the vaccination part of the store. If you need over the counter meds don't bother with this store. You queue at the prescription counter to get access to over the counter meds so it's a 20+minute wait to be told the pharmacist is unavailable.

They have also not ordered my repeat prescriptions for me in the past so failed me for regular meds.

The pharmacy is absolutely disgusting they don't answer the phone and when they do thet put the phone back down and theprescriptions orders from the doctors to deliver you pay £55 for delivery but you still only get one delivered per week and not on time also the as I should say that is of boots Imperial Park manageress she shouldn't be working the she should be cleaning the streets not working as a manager Boots, Imperial Park Bristol I'm sorry to be that abrupt but truth must said.....

I must also say that boots Broadmead in Bristol is exactly the same as the Imperial Park they have not got any customer service skills at all the only difference with the Imperial Park and Broadmead is the perfume department in Broadmead there fantastic but the pharmacy staff either Broadmead or Imperial Park should be retrained with customers skills also in
the manager in Broadmead and the manageress in Broadmead should be retrained because Jo the manageress as is absolutely diabolical speaking to people and the amount of people that have complained about her and surprised the she still got a job.
