Newdales

Some of the one star reviews on here are laughable, it's almost as if you'd like people to work for free?

I went to Newdales last week- I really enjoy cycling but am far from an expert.
I had been researching online and had found what i believed to be suitable to my needs on Halfords website, for a comparison I showed Colin in store the kind of bike I was after.

From the offset his knowledge was evident and he asked pertinent questions to ensure the bike I was buying was suitable to my needs.
He was then able to show me a wide range and explain the differences between them and guide me on whether spending additional money would be beneficial to me - certainly no high pressure sales here!

The bike was ordered and built very quickly and upon collection they then took the time to fully explain again all the details of the bike we had already discussed at time of ordering to ensure I was happy with it.

Being a small town their reputation has always been excellent, however I have always thought that ordering online is more convenient...
In this instance that certainly was not the case and now whenever I need anything for cycling Newdales will be my first stop before even going online!

Incredible service from Liam. He had the only size M in the country of the bike I was after and kindly put it aside for me after one call. Had it all set up ready for me to ride and took the time out to go over it all with me on collection. Very well stocked shop as well.

Lovely friendly bike shop, if Carlsberg did bike shops this would be it, or the kind Fettle claim to be. Had a fall today and bent my derailleur at the about halfway into the ride. The lovely staff sorted out my derailleur whilst I grabbed a coffee, even though they normally don’t do walk in repairs.

Broke the bolt holding my crank on phoned them and within 20 mins it was fixed. Part of the bolt was stuck in the crank not an easy job. Excellent.

The people in the store are amazing. Was with my roommate on a longer tour and they helped me directly with adjusting my brakes!

Always very helpful and got my secondhand bike working great

I would definitely recommend Newdales to anyone who cycles in and around the area - 11/10 customer service and help.

I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Colin & Chris for their rapid and lovely service yesterday morning. I came off the bike on the Thursday and they managed to fit me in first thing on a Friday to help me get back training ASAP. As someone who rides (almost) full time, you can imagine that the bike needs to always be working to be able to train! Chris was incredibly swift and efficient at finding the issues and resolving them, and all with excellent customer service. I'm so appreciative of Chris and Colin's help and support as now I'm able to continue training :) thank you very much. I'm looking forward to returning back to the shop for any other issues or new updates needed!

AMAZING BIKE SHOP! Every time I have been to Newdales, whether for parts or for workshop services, they have been very friendly and incredibly efficient. They have excellent stocks of hard to find pieces and components, a wide range of high quality clothing and accessories. Of standout quality is their workshop, with fantastic quality and turn around times but importantly a caring manner when it comes to treatment of bikes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
