Walk in and staff generally are very busy doing something else. Purchased a Schwinn bike about 2 years ago, lightly ridden during that time and now the bottom bracket has prematurely failed. Took 4-5 weeks to get an appointment to get the mechanic to look at it, a further 2-3 weeks to get an answer that basically was, manufacturer wont support a fix and Evans wont do anything in terms of goodwill. No response when contacting the Evans headoffice directly. Terrible overall experience, would never buy from this store or chain again. I think some of the staff have now changed and the new manager has inherited a mess. Hats off to him for taking the time to explain the outcome of my situation and not hiding behind things. Annoyed that Evans knowingly sell junk and then give the run around when the inevitable happens. Wish I went elsewhere and bought something better with a bit of guidance. Glancing at the other reviews it seems my experience is pretty common.

I booked an appointment to repair my bike because they were pretty busy. When I gave my bike, they told me it would take 2 days. I came back 2 days after and it was not ready. They needed 2 more days. When I came back, they did nothing. The staff is a joke in this shop. I saw just 1 guy who was working. All the rest of staff was doing nothing, was eating or having a break with other colleagues. They are not professional at all and a part of staff work only to take the money but don’t take care about customers.

Rowan at Evans delivered 5 star customer service today was very helpful when I was looking for a bike for my daughter great customer service credit to the company. I did not actually purchase my bike today from the kingston store but when above and beyond to source one at another evans store in sutton for myself as I needed to purchase one today, so he understood regardless kingston evans would not get a sale but with his help I did end up purchasing from evans in sutton, otherwise I was back off to Halfords.

Visited this store for the first time, to pick up a couple of bikes for me and my wife.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, I was really impressed with Archie who advised us on bike sizing and on which bikes would best suit our cycling needs. There was no hard sell, and we were left to browse the shop without being pestered by an overzealous salesperson. We took our time, using the information that Archie had given us to select our bikes, and, as the two bikes we chose were in stock, we were able to take them with us and go for a ride straight away.

By providing the right information and not pressing Archie has developed a sales technique that allows the customer to feel confident of the suitability of their bike without feeling pushed into the sale. I suspect that much of his skill comes from being a bike enthusiast as well as a salesperson.

I would recommend this store to customers, and I would recommend adoption of Archie’s sales manner to other salespeople.

Took my bike in after the 3rd time of my pedal coming off and had only brought this bike in January. Was told that it needs a new crank & need to order & wait on warranty. Six weeks of waiting phone calls that was not answered a couple of emails exchanged at the beginning. Had no updates none what’s so ever collected my bike after still not being repaired was told there was a backlog. Doesn’t excuse the poor customer service.

Update took this bike in to mobile bike repair in Staines someone recommended brilliant service.Apparently the pedal had been put on the wrong way by Evans. Why this wasn’t spotted had no other issues since was fixed on the spot.

This is my go-to cycle repair shop. They have a variety of goods – from cycle accessories to energy drinks – all in one place. The labour charges are decent and so is their quality of service.

AVOID! Sell expensive but flawed bikes and the customer service is appalling. Held onto the bike for weeks and made us pay for parts, which should have been covered by the warranty. Go elsewhere for your bikes and repairs. Would give zero stars if I could!
