Had a great experience - I booked my bike in for a service and speaking with Neil I explained a couple of strange noises and suspicions of what I thought may be wrong to see of they could take a look at the cause of this too. He was incredibly thorough and offered clear and understandable explanations of solutions and options to get the bike on the road as quickly as possible. Bike is now back to normal - Great knowledgeable and friendly service!

I recently bought a bike after a few decades without one. It is an imported one, electric and quite a bulky thing (I'm a bit vain). Anyway, after a couple of months commuting, it needed a bit of fine tuning, setting up properly and a new chain, so I contacted Whites because I knew they had been in the area for years (I used them in my youth).
I got the bike booked in, and although it is a bit of a lump and an unusal shape, they took it in and managed to get everything sorted and set up properly for me. A very thorough check list done, all things tweaked and tuned that needed it. I was informed of all work completed when I picked it up a couple of days later and all done at a reasonable price. I had a little browse at the gear while I was there, and I will certainly be back when I need new bits and bobs.
Lovely local independant shop that has been there for years, great staff (that dealt with me) and good prices.

Had one puncture which Neil sorted within 2 days. Then got another puncture which again was sorted within a day. All I have to say is excellent fast. friendly service. Would recommend anyone in the area to visit for repairs.

Having purchased a second hand bike for my wife, I thought it prudent to have it checked out by a competent cycle mechanic. After speaking to Neil on the telephone, he explained that although the workshop was busy (always a good sign), he was happy to take it in.
On arrival, Neil took the time to expain to a complete novice what they would look at and suggested fitting a stand, which I had no idea could be fitted retrospectively. Having visited other shops where staff can be quite condescending to people like myself with limited knowledge, Neil made me feel completely at ease to ask about the most basic of tasks, such as removing and replacing the front wheel.
If my wife ever convinces me to take up cycling again, this is where I will go to purchase my bike.
I read once that the only way to do a great job is to love what you do. And the staff here do; with a passion.

I had a great experience visiting White's when I required new tyres for my road bike. Neil was very thorough explaining all the various options to me and managed to get the job done for me with a really fast, efficient turn around and really happy with the products supplied. I will be returning back in the future for anything bike related. Service with a smile from someone who genuinely cares, great to see small independent businesses like these that go the extra mile.

As a beginner, it’s so reassuring to know that there are friendly experts who go out of their way to provide advice and encouragement. I’ve used Whites twice now for a bike service and they’ve tailored it to my needs, not overselling to a basic bike user. Will return and would recommend!

I have used White's CC for everything from new brake blocks and inner tubes up to full servicing of my bikes for many years. They have always been professional, helpful and friendly.
