Nationwide Building Society

I am not a nationwide customer, but recently had to attend this branch following a bereavement. The staff here were fantastic, with nothing too much trouble. My enquiry was dealt with in a thoroughly professional and empathetic manner. I will probably consider swapping to Nationwide on the back of my visit here today.

A national building society but this branch feels like an independent. Staff are really friendly and let me take in a few extra bags of change than their national policy usually allows. I was thinking of moving banks before this as their interest rates weren’t the best but decided to stay as I valued the service more.

Usually really nice staff at atherstone, but today an unbelievably rude and unhelpful member of staff, i left in tears. Really uncalled for behavior from her. Think she deserves reprimanding.

Went to nationwide long street, Atherstone,on the 15/5/2020 at 10.20Am was Refused Entry by A young woman who simply said go home and do your Banking Online,As I had a Important Bill to Pay and I don't do online banking or have Access to a Computer I said that I have no other way to pay this Bill but All I Got was this Very Rude and Obstructive member of Staff, I understand that they are taking Precautions at the Moment, But the staff have Glass Screes, Thinking of moving both Accounts, Just not good enough.I wasn't the only Person Refused Entry Either, I think nationwide will lose many customers,With Poor Customer service from Certain members of Staff.

Atherstone branch 3 cashiers sitting talking, don't want to serve customers and the place was empty, Fob you off and tell you to use self serve. Machine didnt work so she did have to deposit cheque which literally took a minute for her to process. Lazy woman that will soon moan when has no job because she pushes customers to use machine and the bank sussed they dont need an employee when a machine does the work. Also contradicts information that is on Nationwide website. Just lazy bad sevice
