Hertz - Exeter Airport

So much for gold service, one office for multiple companies.. when it gets busy the queue is outside.. whilst not sure what you are waiting for.. no shade for those waiting

Hired from hertz marsh barton and still waiting for deposit to be returned nearly three weeks later. Keep getting told different return dates by different members of staff and now being told a later date by email. Don't really see why it takes so long to return a deposit. Will not be using them again.

Called due to no response from many emails.
Ordered a car. I'm a Gold member and the price quoted was £190!

If "not Gold" I got the same car for same period for £120!
So much for your LOYALTY program.

Girl at Hertz took payment and promised a confirmation email within the hour.

That was last week! Still no email, money taken and no confirmation!

Emailed yet again for confirmation, still being ignored.
Hertz management train your staff properly, respond to communications.
You clearly prefer a growing amount of bad reviews than to address your customers situations before they escellate.
Looking at other reviews many once loyal customers you have lost to competitors.

Car was dirty more damage than Hertz stated. Not very helpful, just off loaded the issues to the drop of destination.

Absolutely appalling on collection the kid in the office gave me the keys then motioned in the general direction of the car park. The real problem was on returning he vehicle as agreed earlier than the office opened i took video evidence of the full tank and general condition having read several reviews indicating previous sharp practices ( charging for non existent damage or fuel when the vehicle was infact returned full) . When I landed at my destination later on the Sunday morning I was met with an e mail detailing with photos damage not present on the video taken only hours earlier together with a total repair cost exceeding £300.00 for what appeared to be bird mess on the bonnet this money was taken from my card several days later along with an out of hours charge despite the rental being prepaid. As a long standing Gold club member I am disgusted by the clearly fraudulent behavior of this Hertz office and will no longer be using them having now switched my allegiance to Avis. Very poor dishonest service.

Careful.. £250 fuel charge levied when returned w full tank. Exe Hertz claimed returned empty (although invoice confirmed only 170m driven). Hertz investigated, agreed it wasn’t possible to be empty and refunded. Hard to avoid conclusion that staff are financially motivated to levy bogus charges. Always keep receipts of fuel purchased, as backup. Disappointing from a big corporation

Total disgrace of a company. Staff (Daniel) even worse.
No staff available to inspect vehicle on collection however have to sign paperwork. No staff on drop off however £300 invoice 2 hours later for a 3mm tiny mark on door. Cant prove it was/wasn't there prior to collection due to being staff less, however not willing to dicuss.

Had a terrible experience with Hertz! After hiring a van and receiving confirmation it was ready to collect, I turned up at Exeter Airport where the Advisor said they didn't have the van! He then said he could try and get one from another office but didn't know how long it would take. Hertz is a shambles and I will never call them again!
A month later, and I'm still waiting for Hertz to credit my account. I've tried them a number of times and you either can't get through or they pass me to a different department , and then cut me off! Do not hire a car or Van from Hertz as you will regret it!!
