Toby Carvery Bridgend

The carvery wasn't it's usual standard, tye cabbage looked as though it was raw and the meat serving was laughable if I'm honest. I understand there are a lot of people to feed but our servings were dismal. I had the lamb and beef, there was 2 tiny slices of each. To put it in perspective, you wouldn't have made a sandwich out of the it. Totally unimpressed!

Shown to my seat by a very polite and friendly waitress. She asked what I would like to drink and offered to bring it to my table. Myself and guest then went up to get our carvery. Carver also very friendly. Food was lovely and the same waitress came over to ask how our food was and offered to refresh our drinks and brought over to us. A very pleasant evening, great food and service. Thank you 😊

Sadly this place is quite neglected & dirty. The tables chairs all pretty filthy. The salt & pepper Mills horrific, toilets need to decent bleaching, floors walls the lot.
The place hasn't had a deep clean or a paint in years. The phone rings loudly in the middle of the restaurant & is rarely answered.
Go to another branch for a nicer experience

Dined here Wednesday 23rd as I wanted to treat my little sister to a cavery after school so we arrived and was greeted quickly and kindly, and the door hostess was lovely enough to adhere to my special request so my party of 3 was even happier when seated. We were sat around 5 minutes when a waitress rushed past us whilst carrying a load of plates so was clearly on her way to the kitchen but stopped in her tracks to ask us if we wanted any drinks so we appreciated that she stopped but it quickly turned sour when she spoke to us with attitude. I asked for my drink and a couple of glasses which she rudely responded to me “I don’t give glasses for drinks you brought in” so that was awful straight away. I understand if this is the case but letting me know in a better manner would’ve much more gracious and appreciated but no. After this interaction, my mood & the atmosphere on the table was terrible for the rest of the remaining time we were there. 10/10’s for the carvery and dessert though! My little sister really did enjoy her treat as did me and my partner. Thank you Toby Cavery, Bridgend!

Manners of the staff on the carvery was good. Floor staff seen polite but we're more concerned with having a conversation by the waitress station than tending to our table when we had both clearly finished our meals. The conversations were very close to our table and seemed to be negative towards other members of staff or gossiping which made me feel uncomfortable. Also use of poor language was overheard.

Went here yesterday as really fancied a cooked dinner. Took my son who popped home from uni. The place was all fenced off and closed. Possibly having work done. Just disappointing as I drove there without knowing it was closed. Next time I will book online. Thst way I might be aware.

Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Place was clean and tidy. The food was fresh and delicious. We were well taken care of by our server. It was an enjoyable experience over all.

Great being back in after their refurbishment. As always stunning roast today and pub looked utterly amazing. Can't wait to get in for breakfast!
