I was going to buy a HP laptop, unfortunately it had a wrong label with 17” inch which normally was 13” inch, I had it in my hands to check the specs, they told me to hand back the laptop to solve the issue and fix the label and respectively lowering the price and to go back tomorrow, next day I went they increased the price for £100 extra saying that it’s a different model, but the label on it was exactly the same one, they lied to me and tried to scam me, CEx as well as cash converters are totally alright robbers with papers.

They want to make up their own rules for collection. ID brought with collection number. Still not enough. E-mailed their head office who said the shop was wrong.

Bunch of idiots for £6 collection.
Never shopping here again.

Waiting times are sometimes too much ideal if they had seats to sit and wait till a token number is called and the items they repurchase the cash price is very less compared to EBay etc you are usually looking at 1p to 50p on most items which is not fair when they are reselling for more on those exact items.

How to scam people out of their money as taught by Cex
I brought a laptop from cex that had physical damage that could lead to some serious internal damage. I too it back to the shop i brought it. Was told that they cant give me a refund or a replacement laptop. They then voided the warrenty and blamed the damage on me. After a week or so back and forth iwth their customer service team of whicu they where useless i then tried to get a refund through my bank. Now my bank was nice and lovely because they leant me the close to £400 owed to me by cex. So after two months of radio silence i hear that cex has paid £148 of the close to £400 and refused to pay the rest becuase they believed that i was being dishonest. Now i speak to CEX director mr Imran Bhuradwala
I wiched that it didnt go down like this but if your company didnt con us the good people i wouldnt be leaving this review but becuase you didnt bother contacting me for the full story and decided to listen and believe your employees ( wh8ch you should anyway) and not get both sides i am on my soapbox shoating to the crowd

When I received my order, it was in shambles. Received the wrong AC adapter (but was given 2x that didn't belong to my game console). One of the two games was wrong. AND, to top it all off, I wasn't given the game controller.

I was so afraid I would be giving a one-star review. BUT....

Went in twice to resolve the item errors and, whilst the correction wasn't perfect (AC adapter is EU specific with a EU/UK adapter), every other issue was resolved as good as could be imagined.
