What's not to like. Easy parking, helpful friendly staff all housed in a partly new and partly renovated building. I was well impressed, it's an asset for the town.

I wish risedale surgery would go back to being its own little surgery. It was easier to see my own doctor back then, if I want to see my own doctor now I have to wait till after Christmas. Plus they didn't refuse to see you if you happen to be 5 mins late.

EDIT...could you please tell me how I go about making a complaint please.

Risedale surgery has GPs that diagnose you without even seeing you, and then you have others promising that they will do absolutely everything they can and then they forget after waiting months for a scan absolute joke

This place is absolutely terrible, I've been with the surgery for over 20 years and its just got worse and worse. After having brain surgery and being in a coma after a car accident, I have not seen one doctor, and cannot even get a phone call back off a doctor. The receptionist also kept relaying the wrong information which all added to the wrong information being given. Absolutely shocking practice .

my first appointment was back in january (it's september now). what was initially a minor ache due to an ingrown toenail has now evolved into horrific pains and agony due to the incompetence of the doctors who operated on me. they overdosed me on anaesthetic and forgot to apply the remedy that prevents the re-growth of the toenail, and ever since i have been chasing their tail trying to get another appointment, unfortunately to no avail. now that it's been 9 months of excruciating pain and disability, i'm now going to university across the country with a horrid toe. heaven hopes that the university services will be any better than here, and judging by my experiences with this place, they will be. 1 star, would rate lower if possible. do not be surprised if you find your service from here to be lacking.

EDIT: well, here i am. over a year after my first experience, after my second op. and i must say, i had a wonderful experience. the ladies who carried it out were kind and careful. much more was done in terms of procedure in making sure i was comfortable and safe. no pain, quick, easy. overall a surprisingly good time. bumping it up from 1 star to 3.

Horrendous. I arrived for my appointment at 9
05 checked in .Ask receptionist if I had time to use bathroom. Which I did waited to be called. After 20mins ask security man if I had been forgotten he replied probably running behind
10mins later asked receptionist she phoned nurse. I had been called while I was in bathroom .so had to make another appointment. Not happy at all
