We moved to the area one year ago. We had have many issues and never ever could get a proper appointment. I got a telephone appointment with a GP that was not mine and he didn't put any related information and requests in to my record. I need a simple blood test and it took 3 weeks to get one and they cancelled it on the day. Totally useless ! I got the blood test after 6 weeks of constance effort .Now I got the result. Guess what? They didn't test the exact blood test that I requested and gave me the result that nobody asked for . I went there , got the print and check the items and the ones I request personally from GP, 3 times from receptionist and asked clearly from the person who got my blood test and nobody cared. They didn't call for the result ,they didn't give any assistance to check the result , because they totally don't care about your wellness!
One recent incident, however, was particularly upsetting and highlighted issues in the admin system:
I received a msg cancelling my appointment with Dr Speck, and received another message, the following day, setting a new appointment. Upon showing up at the new time, told that was a system mistake - a msg automatically sent with no actual appointment.
One cannot always help when things happen automatically with the system, but someone surely must take accountability to fix the system and avoid such issues in the future. Our time matters, those of us having to leave work to attend the appointment. The receptionist wasn't helpful either, brushing it off by quickly apologising and saying there's nothing she can do. Instead of offering something tangible (like raising the issue or setting up a new expedited appointment upon the dr's return). Her approach to handling the situation seriously made things worse. Reception/Front Desk at a medical center are meant to be especially mindful and reassuring!
