You can always rely on B&Q for all your DIY, gardening and tools products. Sutton has a well stocked store. Recommended.

Good and bad. Phoned up in the morning to ask if their timber cutting service was available (Sunday) told it was and would be open all day. Turned up at the store to find it closed.

However this was due to short staff and lunch breaks so could forgive this. When staff member finally arrived after a 40 min wait tge cutting service was quick. Efficient and above all accurate. Would certainly use them again as I lack the means to manhandle and accurately cut 2.4m x 1.2m MDF.

Nice store however some of the staff could benefit from BASIC customer service training.
Walked in today to view ceiling lights I'd seen on their website. As is often the case, hardly any staff on shop floor to ask questions. When you do grab the attention of one, like the middle aged woman setting up furniture close to the lights display, who reluctantly spoke with me, their body language is usually unfriendly.

I have had help opening bottles or household items difficult to negotiate. I can get my long length light bulbs here. The garden & plant section tries to be seasonal quite well all year.

Staff not overly helpful. It is a big store though, so lots of stuff there.
Just don't rely on staff to be able to advise you, as they don't really seem to have much DIY knowledge!

Kitchen experience with Adam Thrower - flawless.
I have come to B&Q to completely re-do a kitchen in my first flat, on a tiny budget. After many interviews to various competitors (who were either rude, unnecessarily expensive or primadonas) I instantly liked Adam, who works at the Sutton branch.
Adam listened carefully to what I wanted to achieve, was incredibly helpful, honest and helped me value engineer my project exactly how I wanted it to be. Adam was always an email or a call away - I saw him 3 times in total throughout this process.
Kitchen was ordered in June and arrived promptly in mid-August.
I could not be happier with the end result - we made it look much, much more expensive than what the budget was. B&Q dealt with two small hiccups during the installation process very promptly (but it was not installed by B&Q). I have no negative things to say. If you need an affordable change - I truly recommend.
Adam truly made this process so simple and easy - I can't thank him enough.
Sutton B&Q - take note, Adam is a true asset to your store!

Not bad, basic stuff available, The issue is that the place is massive and you have to walk long distance from plumbing to taps shelves to complete your purchase. Why not keep all the plumbing stuff in one place? Probably to force on you walking exercise and to waste your time

Unhelpful staff who make you feel like a nuisance and no trolleys to carry sheets of timber, all loaded up with deliveries. How are you supposed to buy product from this shop and get it to your vehicle?
Must be because the store is closing, everyone has just given up.
