Best ironmongers/diy shop in the area. An old fashioned Aladdins cave they seem to have everything you can think of and then more . The exterior is brilliantly decorated all done by one of the family . Well worth a visit , you are bound to find something you need .

Great DIY shop and good value. Not expensive at all, the best shop for DIY in Bridgend area in my opinion

I visited Bakers last Friday to purchase 4 metres of fire cord for my wood burners door's. After reaching home I found that I had in fact come away with 3.7 metres. As I had walked there from my home and I had enough to fit the door's. I did not return but I advise anybody buying by the meter at Bakers to check the length before leaving the shop. Sad for a family run business.

I found what I was looking for. It is nice to find on old fashioned Ironmongers that caters for just about anything. I would recommend to try them out.

Very helpful knowledgeable owner. The only downside is the price you pay for some items. One particular tem was the same price as a DIY chain, but for only half the quantity, so only shop there as it's near if I need something quick and can't wait for delivery.
