Barbados High Commission

The person on reception I just called was very helpful and within five minutes, completed the call and sent an email with the documents I required. That’s what I call great service.
I guess there’s been a change of personnel judging by the reviews here.

Once again another horrific phone experience with the Barbados HC, it always impresses me that as a first point of contact for an entire country the people that answer the phones can be so unpleasant, rude and intentionally unhelpful

Yesterday I posted by applications for myself and my son to apply for new Bajan passports. I tracked the delivery and knew the applications arrived at the High Commission this morning which was why I blown away when Amanda called me at 7.20pm this evening to query something on my son's application and to tell me if she could get it cleared up she could process both our applications today! I was totally amazed at the speedy turnaround. Whilst keeping me on the line Amanda called another colleague to clarify the issue and was told it was okay to approve my son's application. I asked Amanda for her name so I could praise her in a review. I see lots of negative reviews here and I admit to calling in the past and being dealt with rude or unhelpful people. But I think it also worthy to single out good service when you receive ut too

One of the rudest receptionists I have ever spoken to! Get over yourself darling - you paint a picture of happy smiling Caribbean islanders and smash it to bits. There is no call to be such a misery - if the job and dealing with civil people seeking advice is too much do us all a favour and quit!

I provided incorrect/incomplete information for the purposes of importation (more than once) and the team were professional, empathetic and speedy.

Despite my many errors I was guided through the due process with ease. Absolutely surpassed my expectations.

Is the Office closed permanently? Contacted the Office on a number of occasions June 2020 and told to call back August 2020, January 2021 again was told to call back in February 2021.
A letter was sent to the office, no reply therefore it's in space or filed in the bin.
Contacted the office on Tuesday 13 April 2021 - person on ext150 is unavailable.
Why is it so DIFFICULT to get a passport renewal form and confirmation of cost/fee?
The service is absolutely POOR!

Great service! From the gentleman and Lady on reception, to the parties involved in transactions the service is Great. I rang a few times didn't get through and was shocked by the prompt return call within minutes from BHC RECEPTION STAFF.

RUDE receptionist she didn't even allow me to finish my enquiry kept cutting me off and her mannerism was as though I was begging her for something come on man NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
