Boots Opticians

Absolutely brilliant service from all staff. From every level- from the student optician to the manager, everyone who did the testing and glasses fitting and sales was very thorough and professional. Highly recommended.

Good in store but hopeless on the phone. Calling them involves going through several menu options, so the call is connected and you're paying for it. But then, on the last stage, as it's transferred to the opticians department nobody bothers answering the ringing phone, so you end up paying for a call that never gets answered. Tried to get through three times in one morning and no-one answered.

In general care has been good and polite. However I have now moved out of the area with no easy access to a Boots Opticians so have to transfer to a local independent. Need a copy of my prescription but when called nobody picked up phone.

The staff are interested only on sales, acting as a robots.
Same low level tests as Tesco.
At least one star for the kind young student there, only she was carry about my eyes conditions, not Boot's targets of sales.
The frames produced behalf Boot's do not have warranty as I have heard.

If i could give no star for the aftercare i would.
What a disappoint.
Attitude galore. I asked for a refund as the frame had been damaged and then got told there is no gaurentee. Only after consulting someone else (as i wouldn't leave) i got told i have a year.
When i said i wasnt happy i then got told that its because of the quality of frame i chose.
Sorry????? If Boots own is sub standard , then why are you selling it?
Just because i didnt spend hundreds on something i dont need to wear every day that means i dont deserve good service ?
Would never recomend should have just gone back to my independent

Awful service from the shop floor staff. Testing optician was great, but there was no interest or assistance and no clear communication from staff on the shop floor. Basically couldn't give two hoots if I were there or not. I asked for my prescription and went elsewhere.

Giving a 1 star only because I had to. My husband was 7 minutes late to his appointment because we had trouble parking. We checked in at the desk but after sitting for 5 minutes were told we were too late . The staff Terri and Neil were really rude and dismissive. Don't go here as there are plenty of really good independent opticians around who actually care about how they treat customers. Boots opticians in Sutton obviously overbook and take walk ins and over stretch themselves so if you are a few minutes late for an appointment you booked 2 weeks ago they really don't care. Disgusting ,rude service to say the least.

I really don't get all the negative reviews, staff is super nice and helpful. The service is excellent, you don't need to wait weeks for appointment and there's basically no wait in general to be seen by an optician. And it's not expensive at all. Highly recommend it
