Overall a perfectly decent experience. Haven't had anything unusual ever happen to me there. The services provided are like any other of the opticians in town. The only one gripe I have is that they charge for glasses repair (presumably because they have no in house option for it) and have to send them away for a few days.

Overall i've been with them due to issues with other opticians in the area and never found them to be unreasonable in their prices or service.

On a very busy Saturday I was offered an appointment that had become available. The staff were managing the number of people in store with Covid safety in mind. Although running a little late all the staff kept me updated with progress. My eye exam was professional and detailed, everything was explained to me. The assistant asked to help me find glasses was spot on and patient as I deliberated. They worked well as a team to ensure all was well with my glasses and I left happy with the service- thank you.

I have tried to purchase contact lenses twice and normally would use a boots optician in the city who have always been so helpful. I can honestly say on the two times I tried to use the Caterham branch they were the most unhelpful and down right rude provider (of anything!) I have come across.
I have switched my custom (after years of contacts and glasses) from boots to specsavers to avoid having to speak to the female “aftercare” women ever again. Avoid.
If I could have used zero stars I would.

Steer clear of this store! I had been using this store for years but myself and both daughters had separate appointments with the new optometrist and he referred one of my daughters straight to A&E and myself and my other daughter were sent for non urgent referrals to the hospital. What a waste of the NHS services as we were all told there was nothing wrong. The staff in there were also not welcoming and pretty rude on one occasion. Will not be using this store ever again.

Despite opening hours being 9-530pm all week including Saturday am here at 230pm to pick up my contact lens prescription and it is locked, no sign on door, telephone just ringing and ringing. Therefore I shall be entirely blind next week. Many thanks Boots Caterham. 💪

Had new eyeglasses that one of the nose pads arm (metal) broke off under a month of paying for it.
I Was told it was my fault and that it wasn't covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Very unhelpful manager, I have asked for the brand's ISO warranty number but he said he does not know. I was told that it is his goodwill gesture to charge me half price for a new set! It is outrageous as the frame is under a month old! Would go elsewhere if it wasn't for their excellent optician.

Debbie is simply the best. I travel long distance to see our favorite optician. Extremely thorough and no corner cutting whatsoever. I can't recommend her enough. Surprised to see other negative comments - I have been visiting for a few years and this is simply the best.

Having recently moved to Caterham, I had my eyes tested at this branch for the first time. I found the staff very friendly, helpful and thorough. I wouldn"t hesitate to use again.
