Lovely interior with a decent choice of seating for parties of different sizes. Would recommend this for food over The Paper Mill. Service was fairly attentive and the food neatly presented

Cosy Sunday roast! 10/10 from me I am stuffed!!! Compliments to the chef! Great service great location! Couldn’t think of a better place to spend on my day off.

Booked a table for food and drinks on Saturday evening for my partner and I. I expected it to be busy, so we booked in. Turned out we didn't have to, but just to be on the safe side. We wanted to sit in that cozy area by the fire places and we got it. There's no table service there, we ordered at the bar and we were served the food. It was perfect for us. The music was really on the louder end and definitely not our style, so we kindly asked the staff to turn it down, which they did without hesitation. Food may not be on the cheaper end, but served as a generous portion and of great quality. Very tasty, looks good and creative. We were definitely stuffed. Very happy with service, food, drinks and interior there. We returned the following Monday for food and drinks and worked until late on our laptops. Same quality was achieved in service, understanding in terms of music and tasty food. I'd recommend this place. If you're in a budget, then it is a good special occasion treat. Vegan and vegetarian friendly dishes are available, not in masses or abundance, but there's something for everyone that is for sure!

Lovely canalside traditional snug pub and spacious contemporary restaurant. Full vegan menu alongside regular pub favourites. Good atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff. Great food.

I was very pleased with the Fisher Inn last Friday. All the employees welcomed my friends and I into the establishment kindly and were seen to our table quickly. The waitress for our table Laurie, was very kind and professional. She made us all feel at home informing us of recommendations custom to our requirements. As we left we were very pleased with the affordability of the place feeling that when you combine the experience, price, layout and especially the staff, all together this pub, The Fishery Inn is a place everyone needs to experience.

I had the lovely opportunity to check out the recently refurbished The Fishery Inn and was really delighted with the renovations. It's so much more stylish then when I have been previously, the interiors now give the vibe of warm and inviting areas. I had all 3 courses and they were all truly lovely. I will definitely be going back with my girlfriends, because in the back area they have large booths so that you can easily sit together and chat in a group. And over the other side of the restaurant was a quieter more intimate area which is perfect for couples.

Nice little pub on the edge of the Grand Canal near Hemel Hempstead station so travelling is easy. They have ample car parking available. The wait staff are quite attentive although it can get very busy at times. The outdoor seating is great fo the evening and the food is very tasty. Would recommend the brownie for dessert.

First time back here in several years, and I wasn't disappointed ! Met with friends for a coffee (which, for a pub, was rather nicer than expected) following recommendation from someone who had been there the day before. I didn't have food, but there were some good smells coming out of the kitchen, and the coffees came with a little side accompaniment macaroon as well. Really nice coffee, nice ambience next to the fire, and a cozy feel too. Despite a notice warning of potentially slower service, due to staff shortages, we were brought our drinks fairly promptly, and served by happy & helpful staff. I'd certainly go back, without hesitation !
