Vegan food was dreadful. The nourish bowl was a pile of flavourless leaves. I asked for the aubergine coconut curry instead. It was small with overcooked rice and no aubergine (!). My partner’s fish was mediocre. The staff were lovely but service was slow and the glasses were dirty. Definitely not going back!

Came here with a friend for a meal and catch up. We had a warm welcome with a choice of sitting in the bar or restaurant. We choose the bar. There's a large menu with a great selection for vegetarians. I had the veggie curry which was delicious. I would say it is quite spicy but you can always leave the chillies if they are too much for you.

Dessert was just as tasty and another massive choice! The service was really quick and efficient.

Very mixed experience... Lovely warm welcome on arrival, however completely ignored when leaving. (Seemed like staff too busy chatting amongst themselves to just look up.) Our lunch order was taken very quickly, but then we waited almost half hour for food to arrive. My fish cakes were very nice, but failed to come with the side of fries as advertised. (They had clearly been forgotten but no apology when I asked after them - how do you forget a standard part of the dish)? Husband's beef brisket was nice but veg left much to be desired. The staff were very friendly, but if they'd paid a little more attention the experience would have been much, much nicer. The pub was pretty quiet so it's not that they were too busy. It's a shame but we don't plan to revisit as the little things spoilt the experience.

Our son owns Old Town Jewellers just across the road & we decided to lunch at The Swan 2weeks ago on a Monday. we were most impressed. The baguette special had top quality fillet steak & the chips were perfect also. . The service was very attentive & the choice of drinks at the bar was extensive. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic roast dishes, good service and nice ambience. The toilets were not up to standard, all of them not flushing = blocked, hand driers not working with no alternatives for dying hands and generally in bad condition

Fantastic place to eat, the food was delicious and the service was good. There was a small mix up with the food but it was sorted out quickly and efficiently.

Very welcoming staff and ambiance. Communicative staff. Our waitress Sally, took very seriously our dietary needs and her service was exemplary. So lucky to have had her.
Very much enjoyed the choices on the Festive menu

A lovely pub in Old Amersham, with a welcoming feel to it. We had lunch here, and the food was absolutely delicious. The tomato soup had a rich flavour and came with some very lightly toasted bread and a fabulous olive oil. My main course was a pie, which was also excellent and was served with mashed potato which had a perfect texture and gravy on the side which was superb. The broccoli was perfectly cooked. Definitely want to come back for Sunday lunch. The advice is to book for that, and I can see why.
