I went in the morning after I badly sprained my ankle and it didn’t take long at all for me to be seen. I had gotten assessed and had two X-rays within 3.5 hours, which is terribly fast in comparison to other hospitals I’ve visited. Great lovely nurses

However !!! The nurses missed a slight hairline fracture on my ankle which has lead to issues, so maybe not so good

Doctor Butter A&E department at royal Bournemouth hospital is a disgrace. Daughter attended due to not being able to weight bare on foot, no offer of an X-ray and told she should not have wasted his time. He embarrassed her and reduced her to tears. I understand that hospitals are under a lot of pressure right now but this is not acceptable. Semi long dark hair, I would say in his 30s. Doctor Butter you are a disgrace. I’ve just informed the hospital we will be taking this further. Shame on you!! Vile man.

I was in hospital 3days in September for an aortic aneurysm repair. The staff were all very friendly and the surgeon and anaesthetist took time to explain the procedure to me. However I did get the feeling that the anaesthetist was rattling off the side effects "parrot fashion " perhaps that was how he learned them. I have to go in again next week to correct a minor repair to the original operation. . . Even though they seemed extremely busy, the staff responded to all requests. from their patients.

The "treatment" my 2 year old son with a major head injury has recieved here is just awful. We was told by 111 to come down here for an Emergency Appointment at 5.15pm. He has a bruised lump the size of a golf ball on his head and we have been chucked in the waiting room and still bot even been triaged. 100% the worst hospital I have ever been too!

Awful experience. The only nice staff was the receptionist. Everyone else didn't have a clue what they was doing. I was offered pain killers by two different nurses, they both forgot to give it to me within seconds of offering. I let that slide as I know there's a lot of pressure on the NHS, but then I had two staff laughing at my name, saying it wrong intentionally. Was then asked to do a urine sample even though I'd already done one, said that and their response was "oh really?". My name also wasn't written on the pot but hopefully they wrote it on after... then they suddenly found my results and said they don't understand why I was there and made me feel stupid for coming. I was in a lot of pain and knew something wasn't right but they didn't listen to me, I was told it could be "women problems" even though I told them I finished my period last week and I'd know if it was that? Funnily enough i know my own body. They said they're not going to bother to take my bloods and then said "if you're expecting to be given medication, we're not going to give you any so" I then asked if they knew what was wrong, they shrugged their shoulders at me and said I might aswell go home even though I'd been waiting for 5 hours and that I should just wait until the problem goes away. I left crying and in lots of pain. Went to the out of hours doctors the next day and they found out that something was in fact wrong and i was finally given antibiotics. So it's really poor of the hospital to not notice and to make me feel silly for coming when I knew something was wrong. Do better, nurses are supposed to be empathetic.

Can’t explain how DISAPPOINTED i am!
First my wife had a consultation with a midwife that gave her an appointment for 12 week scan and second appointment for 16 week with midwife. She told her on the phone the address for midwife appointment and gave her an early morning appointment. They’ve forgot to send us a letter with the details for the appointment!!! And because of that my wife had to get up 7 am and go the wrong address due to not receiving any letter with information!!! She’s struggling to sleep anyway because of the pregnancy.
Then we called the midwife that we spoke with and she said that we don’t have an appointment today (for the 12 week scan) because we didn’t receive any letter. She said we’ll receive a letter appointment in couple of weeks and when we asked her to check again it turned out that we actually have an appointment but they never send that letter and of course it’s a “mail mistake “ Im frustrated that the people that have to help during PREGNANCY caused my wife a GREAT STRESS because she couldn’t sleep enough, couldn’t eat because she was rushing to get there on time and missed her appointment so she was so stressed and crying all morning. THANKS FOR THAT?! Sure that’s
“ very healthy for a pregnant women “
Anyway they booked us again for the same day and we went there, the lady that did the scan was so in a rush that even the photos we got were so blurry. So clearly because of their fault they’ve booked us with someone at the end of their shift so they can do it. We couldn’t even ask all the questions that we wanted to.
Thank God that the lady that took the blood test was very polite and calmed my wife down and the lady at the reception at the beginning told my wife not to go to the toilet, but wait for after the scan and it turned out that they didn’t even need an urine sample.
So she was struggling to wait till end again for NO REASON!! Can’t believe that!!
That’s why after every appointment im booking another private one to make sure it’s all good!
No words!
Thanks for making this day the most stressful for my wife and for the 1 minute scan appointment.
