We have ordered take away a few times during lockdowns. The Sunday roast is excellent. There's a great selection of veg, a generous portion of meat and tasty home made yorkshire pudding. The portion size is generous and its really good value for money. Last week we tried the Groom Burger and chips. We both love this burger and have had it previously in the pub. I was a bit unsure how good it would be as a take away. However, I didn't need to worry. The burger was just as good and cooked to perfection, with all the additions inside (onion rings, bacon, cheese, salad and sauces). It comes with lovely chunky chips and coleslaw. Not quite as good as having it in the pub with a pint of real but at home with a beer is the best we can get at the moment. Looking forward to trying more of the menu as take away and eating in when we are able.

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch. Very reasonable. Good variety of meats and vegetables. Great decor and very comfortable. Ur not rushed

Great place, made a large crowd very welcome last week for the week. Great beer and food, although book early for food, as has a small restaurant and can't seat many. So walk ins can't always eat. But still a lovely place.

Friendly hmm not from what I see today. House hunting, tired and hungry. Walked in and found a seat. Woman barked from behing the bar "That's tables booked". I said there is nothing on the table saying that. WELL it is and its that table they want. Couple at the side of us was completely shocked and shook their heads. So we decided to leave and find somehere else. This was before 12.30 pm. Complete rudeness, shame as looked nice but wont be back

Called in for lunch and a drink, service was very good, and food very nice , wasn't impressed with the really foul mouthed customers at the bar!
