Another low ball review! I really don't like doing these, but here we go..

Room: The room was pretty good. Sadly the air conditioning reminded me of a Cessna trying to start up with the noise it was making, so had to resort to having a fan on constantly. Otherwise it wasn't too bad. There's plenty of damage to walls, corridors, lack of decent repairs to prior issues and a massive gap between the bath and beauty panel where someone fitted the wrong size and couldn't be bothered.

Service: Here's where it gets a little funny. The barman was by far the best experience of this visit. Otherwise staff seemed a little rude and standoffish. We did attempt to use the pool, but the guy running the "Spa" just wanted to tell us it was £4 each rather than listening to what we were saying. Needless to say, we didn't use the pool.. Due to the restaurant seemingly only serving people that seemed like permanent residents there, we went to the pub just a 4 minute walk down the road for a few pints, followed up by a pizza from Domino's across the road.

Location: Ideally located on the A30 just oustside Hook, the position is good for getting in to Basingstoke and other surrounding towns and cities.

All in all, I can't honestly recommend the place as somewhere I'd want to go to. It seems more like a stopover for workmen and a hostel for families rather than a hotel. I can't say that I was overly impressed with what I spent to feel unwelcome and to deal with kids riding bikes up and down the hallways.

Despite arriving at the hotel and asking the reception to make a reasonable adjustment for me by emptying my bin on a daily bases due to living with a stoma. This was not done and after repeating the request to make reasonable adjustments this was still not achieved. I ended up empty the bin from my room by myself. The reason adjustments required come under the equalities act 2010. I requested the manager of the hotel to make contact with me throughout my stay. I was told by reception that the manager was not in and would contact me by Tuesday 27/09/22. Still no call from the manager of this hotel.
The services in the hotel was poor, table service. What table services? There is also clearly a large family living or boarding there too.
Reception staff seemed unconcerned of the issues raised and to top it all the key cards lock you out your room every day. Not a great experience at all. I tried contact the head office with no luck too.

This hotel from outside looks amazing. It advertises an on site gym and pool and a relaxing stay.

The reality is the pool is £4 per person, and the gym has a cost as well, rather than being free for hotel guests.

The hotel is very, very dated in terms of decoration. The walls of the room have terrible paint touch ups, the bathroom was hugely damaged, panels broken, stains on the floor, a mirror light that flickered every second, the light in the corridor clicking on and off every second.

If you can stay somewhere else, do so.

In the past, I started better a lot. Back then it was, I felt, expensive but had a certain quality. Now it is neither expensive nor of a good standard. We arrived to find out rooms weren't ready. The chap on reception it turned out would have to make up our rooms, so he offered for us to share a room. No. We were filled to wait in the bar for three rooms to be ready. We did. 45 minutes later our rooms were ready. To be fair to the chap he was trying his best. He should never have been out in that position.

The rooms are super hot and support uncomfortable. Posts suggesting that the hotel is tired are being complementary.

Breakfast? Sausage roll anyone?

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
Greeted by a receptionist that was highly rude, room was extremely dirty, corridors looked like they had not been cleaned/hoovered for months with food on the floor outside my room door. Internal door leading to the rooms had been covered up with plaster board; looked like the door was smashed! very concerning. Loads of refugees taken in, kids were noisy and unruly. Staff turned a blind eye to their behaviour. There was banging on my door in the middle of the night. Falsely advised as there is no spa treatments at the hotel. Felt like I was staying at a refugee camp. If I had a choice I wouldn’t even give this hotel one star.

We booked the woodland suite for my mums wake. The room was set up beautifully plenty of seating. We had a buffet all the guests complimented the food was great and plenty of it.
Thank you to RIchard (manager), Sam and all the staff that made our day run smoothly.

It was fine.

There's a lot of negative reviews but I had a good night's sleep and that's very important.

I ordered a dominoes and had a fast delivery, easy going hotel allows you to eat a take away in your room.

My room had a double bed, tables and chairs, TV, clean bathroom I was impressed for the money. Teas coffee water.

Yes it's a little dated but it still functions extremely well.

Don't stay here, it's awful. The room was freezing as the radiator was not working and the window broken. The air conditioning just flashed a spanner at me so I asked for an extra blanket at reception but none came so I had to pile the towels on the bed to keep warm. Thought a bath would warm me up but couldn't get any water from the taps and only cold water from the sink but that had no plug. The hallway stank of weed and the breakfast buffet was well below average.
