Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted Airport

Paid for upgrade to superior. Was supposed to have a good view of runway and free water...fridge empty, view just OK. Room in itself is lovely but could do with information pack. WiFi isn't great. Service is wonderful..some really lovely staff, thank you as it makes a stay special. Unfortunately looking at the menu and my husbands allergies we are going to have to find somewhere else to eat..onions are a really big deal.. bought a bottle of wine from airport cheaper than a glass at restaurant! But knowing what we now know we would book again ..go standard and buy wine and food beforehand. Would still have a drink in the lovely wine tower lounge

This was the perfect place to stay if you have an early flight. Right next to the airport. We dropped off our luggage the night before and just went straight through to security on the morning of the flight. The hotel was clean and reasonably priced. The bar has a nice calming atmosphere. Overall it made our trip a lot more calm than it could have been traveling overnight. Highly recommended.

Great hotel to stay if early flight from Stansted or late arrival. Just 5 minutes walk from the terminal. Impressive central bar area with blue-lit wine tower. Comfortable clean rooms, some with an interesting view of the runway. Breakfast is excellent, with an extensive choice of anything tasty you might want. If you go to the pool at around 5 or 6pm, you might hit a swimming class in a roped off section - but the small children were so happy, it's impossible not to smile. The only part that's not so good is the dinner menu for the Collage Bistro - which is just a bit dull - and the food itself - which is just a bit average. Otherwise, relaxing in this excellent hotel rather than grappling with transport is highly recommended!

If you have a sensitive nose, DO NOT STAY HERE! I have no idea what they do here, but it smells like they are actively pumping fragrance through the ventilation. I am not extremely sensitive to smells, but this was overkill. It made me cough and made my eyes water.
Otherwise, this is a perfect location if you have an early morning flight out of Stansted. Less than 5 minutes walk to the airport. The rooms are nice enough. There is a restaurant in the hotel, a bit overpriced and food is mediocre, but that's generally how things are near the airport. We added on breakfast to our stay, which was good and quite convenient.

The proximity to Stansted Airport was enough for me - easy walking distance with bags - but I was continuously impressed during my stay. I arrived late and there was a helpful, friendly concierge there to greet me and direct me to my room. The room was simple but comfortable and the black-out curtains were much-needed after a lot of travelling. The breakfast, though pricey, is worth it and of high quality.

We had a drink, then walked back for dinner. The food was good, expensive for what we had but kind of expected it

Service was ok, one waiter noticed we hadn't received any service for a while which we were getting impatient with and he made sure we were looked after for the rest of our evening

The rooms were clean, bed was huge and comfy. We had room service which was nice, you do have a service charge on top of the listed prices which wasn't shown but again, expected. I think we paid £6 for the convenience of having our bakery basket sent to our room

Overall happy, would return if flying from Stansted again

One issue we had at checking was to be told our agent had cancelled our booking? Booked with Holiday extras

The location of the hotel is perfect if you need to spend a night close to the airport. Depending on the class of room you book, it could be worth your money. I booked a standard room for one person and i was given twice rooms that had 3 beds. The Extra beds were cramped into the room so that you felt trapped between the furniture. Sometimes less is more. On a positive note they stored my luggage, the bar area is beautiful and i got a Premium suite. If you are someone who appreciates nice interior and breathing space in a room then i definitely recommend the Premium rooms. I am also adding a picture of the standard room so you can compare.
