Colchester Boutique Hotel

Lovely little hotel ideally situated for exploring Colchester.
Owner was extremely friendly and helpful upgrading our room to one with air conditioning on one of the hottest days of the year . Comfy bed and lovely en-suite with everything spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely short stay at this hotel (1 night). Free parking on site, the entrance to the car park is extremely narrow so you do have to pull in your wing mirrors. Email from the hotel does confirm this which was nice for them to add. Conveniently close to the town, just a 5min walk. There is a slight incline though so be mindful of that. Bedroom facilities are good for a short stay. Breakfast is continental and had a good variety of food. Nice seating area out the back to enjoy drinks/ food. Staff really lovely and friendly too.

Stayed in August with our daughter and son in law for a concert. The rooms were beautiful and Daniel the owner made us feel very welcoming. We will definitely be returning. Perfect location to anything in Colchester Town and the Castle

The bed was to small , queen size , for 2 of us
Overall cleanliness, poor , shower screen , shower tiles , and tiles around sink grubby , door and frame grubby
The small window frames full of cobwebs and dirty windows
Main window unable to keep open
Only the bed made up in the morning , no fresh towels or empty of bins

Booked ahead for the Afternoon Tea with a BUYAGIFT voucher I purchased over a year ago, the person who took the booking over email was incredibly helpful in accommodating us with a time and date. We were a bit late due to parking but when we arrived, we received the warmest greeting from Daniel, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable in a lovely designed hotel. The Afternoon Tea itself was delicious - we finished every bite and honestly could eat it all over again! The sandwiches were so fresh and had tasty fillings, and the variety of cakes were incredible. We would definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We’ve never been to Afternoon Tea together and this was a spectacular first experience, so thanks very much Daniel & Team!

Super little hotel ideal for exploring Colchester and restaurants nearby. Very welcoming and informative staff. Upgraded to four-poster bedroom with perfect facilities. Excellent continental breakfast.
