Fourpenny Shop Hotel & Restaurant

Booked in advance for a late Sunday lunch after a trip to Warwick Castle. Didn’t disappoint! The frontage and initial pub area are very authentic - ‘a proper boozer’ and are wonderfully complemented by a lovely, more modern covered eating area as well as outside dining. The roasts were great - well sized portions and reasonably priced given the quality. Plenty on the children’s menu and nice dessert selection too. Would definitely recommend to anyone in and around the area, and we’ll go back if we ever get chance!

Found this wonderful pub and hotel online, no expectations, but left having very much enjoyed ourselves. Very close to the castle, exceptional food, well appointed room, and very clean. I ate in the restaurant and had the pork chop and loved it. My wife had the cheese tray. My wife and I shared the brownie with fruit compote and cream. All were wonderful and the breakfast was as well. Do not hesitate to stay here, you won't be disappointed.

We were staying on the Caravan Club site and visited here for a drink on the first night for a drink as it was dog friendly. We sat in the lovely beer garden at the rear and saw the quality of food being served. We booked for the next night and had a lovely steak meal (Tuesday special). We visited again 2 days later and had the Tapas offer. Both meals were excellent and the deserts divine.

We were concerned about parking, but we were directed to free secure parking at the racecourse ( a 5 minute walk away). We only stayed one night, but have parked here for free if our stay had been longer. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and showes us to our room in the courtyard. The room though small was adequate for a short break. In the room you have a coffee pod machine, along with a fridge which was a very nice touch (a kettle is available if required) The evening meal and breakfast were very good and service was excellent from the restaurant staff. Very good place to stay in Warwick close to the castle and the town centre.

We had a fabulous stay in this hotel, shame we only stayed one night! Beautiful pub and the room as well, decorated to high standard and pristine clean. Comfortable bed, high end toiletries, coffee machine and fridge in the room. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly. Already thinking about going back. 6 out of 5 stars from us.

Went here for a private event and later for a Sunday roast. The staff are exceptional. Really lovely bunch who bend over backwards to accommodate everyone. Roast had very generous portions and it was absolutely lovely. Arguably the best pub in Warwick! Only complaint is that the roast could have had more salt

Rooms were clean and spacious. Great variety of choice for the breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We chose to eat in the pub restaurant in the evening. The food was great value for money. The pub was close to Warwick Castle and about 20 minutes walk from the station.

Stayed for one night in courtyard double room having attended a wake here. They have thought of everything! Very comfortable, warm, well equipped and beautifully decorated room. The food is delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Booked to come back again for a day at the races!
