Stayed for 3 nights and the courteous staff made my experience all the more beautiful. The rooms are spacious and quite lovely. It was well maintained and the rooms were clean. I quite liked the friendly faces at the reception as you walk about the hotel. The food was quite good; I had the beef steak and it was perfection. The service was very good and I felt very relaxed while I stayed here. Would recommend for a relaxed stay and friendly faces all around.

Room was spacious, with a lovely large comfortable bed. Plenty of space and hot water in bathroom.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Staff especially Paula and Aaron from
reception were exceptional. The hotel is being upgraded, so any maintenance issues are being addressed. We personally had a very enjoyable stay.
Free carpark and great base for exploring the local area.

We had room 5 on ground floor which was a good size, comfortable bed & electrical sockets table high, good mirrors. Only dislike ceiling shower head fitment much prefer option of sliding ones. Lots of places to put out your toiletries. Again good mirrors including small makeup lit one. Storage for clothing & seating excellent. Was able to adjust heating. One problem with card entry to rooms seems not always working, prefer key entry. All staff excellent couldn't have been more helpful. Coach party & manager & his staff always went out of their way to make sure food OK. Breakfast good variety only problem get a new set of toasters & check out the coffee machine, excellent when fully loaded & working. Thank you all for making our short break enjoyable. Clean and tidy, comfortable beds, plenty of tea and coffee in the room plus bottled water. Very helpful friendly staff. Great location for visiting the local area.
Due to Covid-19 bar and restaurant closed and no house keeping. However this made no difference to our stay. A continental breakfast was delivered daily in a paper bag, which was rammed full of goodies and a very hot cup of coffee. You can't beat breakfast in bed! And we are more than capable of making a bed.

We visited for a 70th birthday and stayed overnight. I remember this used to be a place called the Boot and the old sign is still there but its been significantly extended .
The layout is a little strange at first we eventually found reception . The lift seems out of action a few times in our stay.the room was fine. Warm comfy plenty of space; and a view over fields.
Breakfast was good and they made us fresh scramble egg which was excellently cooked and generous portions.

We paid £59 for b&b for a double room as part of the party package. Wine at the party was £7 a medium sized glass.

a room booked to arrive late at night. On arrival at 3am our key to our room didn't work and we were stuck in a lobby with a 2 year old and 2 month old.

We rang the emergency contact number several times which rang out and ended up leaving with two children under 3 to stay elsewhere.

Had no apology from the hotel or any contact.

Dreadful management. I reserved a room and I can only assume it was given away as I was send away because I was checking in too late. The manager owner could not even be bothered to come and talk, but left it to his poor staff to deal with. No winder it is always quiet.
