The premier inn was fab, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfy. However, the Brewers Fayre was an absolute shambles. Breakfast opened late, and then it was another 30 mins before the hot breakfast was available. Dinner service closed at 9pm on Thursday, 8pm on Saturday and my daughter wasn't allowed to have food at one of the outside tables during the day, which mean't our party had to split in two. The premises was not clean, outside bins weren't emptied and were overflowing, and the outside area was littered and it was obvious that it was not swept for the 3 nights we were there.
The standards at The Brewers Fayre would put me off staying at this Premier Inn in the future, which is a shame

Clean, friendly, ideal for a 2 night stay with kids in the family room. Pub next door for breakfast & dinner - ideal. Great location next to the Dock museum, a small playarea & walk along the estuary. Highly recommend if you're looking for a clean room in a convenient location.

A nice clean and quiet room with a decent bed and friendly staff, the food at the pub next door is very good, especially breakfast and the staff are also nice, I would definitely book here again over some of the much more expensive local hotels I've used previously...keep up the good work

I have stayed at most the hotels in Barrow-in-Furness and for me this one is the worst. The staff at the Brewers Fare were unhelpful until one of my colleagues complained to the manager. The food was mainly average, though the porridge was good. The car park and closeness to the centre are positives, the biggest issue is security. The ladies in our group were put in the main part with the reception. The men were put in the separate half of the hotel where the front door looked like it had been forced and repaired, with the door security no longer working so anyone could enter. There is a security card entry on each floor, but anyone could be waiting on the stairs. The beds were not made on any morning and we were there 4 days. I should not have to ask for the bed to be made. I am unlikely to stay here again.

1. Fan in the room didnt work resulting in a humid and dingy feeling room
2. Aircon limit to only 19 deg
3. Aircon switches off only after a few hours of work making it impossible to sleep as the room is just too hot
4. Unable to open window

It is insane that a basic ability of climate control is too much to ask. I really dont understand why they have cheaped out on something like that. And this is on top of the internet being extremely slow and being asked to pay for a faster option.

It's a Premier Inn. They're all good and this one is surprise surprise equally good. The rooms in the annex across from the reception are the best mind, just a little newer with a great big shower. However.... No bath.

I have stayed at this hotel for the past 2 weeks. Hayley, Emma and Allan have made my stay here. They always have warm welcome and ask if I need anything, like clean towels, tea bags etc and if I want my room cleaning and have gone above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The room is always spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the South Lakes. ❤️❤️
